PW Experts Please Help About My 96 Indus Corolla

Salamz. im having an indus corolla (EE100) nd it is in very good condition. But the problem is its engine which is carby 2E though it is in good condition but it is not sufficient to handle the load especially with ac on. I wanna swap 1.5 or 1.6 engine please recommend me engine to swap with my old 2E. and can swap possible with the same mounts? i want an performance based engine economy is not any issue... thx

if u purely want performance 3sgte will be a good option but its not just the engine ul need to change.
ul need to change suspension,brakes etc...
it wil be a mount to mount change

While coming from ghanta ghar chowk and on the road which goes to cantt. there is a toyota 3S centre on a chowk, take left and about half a kn you have a ptcl building on your right near it is a video mkt somewhere in between is a spare parts market and i've seen kabli engines there though i'm not sure if that place has the most variety.

yup its auto plaza at dera adda chock... I m visiting soon der to check it out. im going for 5afe is it right choise or not? and whats the fuel economy difference between 5afe and 7afe... and 5afe is local or jdm engine?

5afe is a jdm engine...it used give 120 kms/cylinder of cng in my friends lx limited jdm rolla....if economy is not an issue i suggest the 4age and that is if you want some serious performance ! but if you just want performance which is better than the 2e get the 5afe!

and my 5afe gave 160km/55kg cylinder that with 5 people sitting and trunk full 13' rims

i would suggest u to go for 7afe ! and never go for 4afe as they came in indus corolla and almost 80% of the 4afes in shoba peshawar are civil which means they are used locally ! 5afe and 7afe came in japanese cars so id prefer those ! 7afe is ecnomical on low rpms as it has highest torque on 2800rpm ! id suggest 7afe u can take out much power of it by just basic modes ! im having 5afe and now planing on 7afe when my engine is weak enuf ! it has started white smoke in petrol and oil is vanishing very fast

brother lx limited has 5afe 3rd gen ! se limited has 4afe ! and that japanese corolla 2 xe saloon has 5afe 2nd gen

4efe came in starlet mostly but it did came in corolla ! im not sure which one ! but lx limited has 5afe iv seen evry lx limited with 5a !

thx for ur replies. i got a 60l clynder. what abt the average of 4age and 7afe? and which engines spare's r easily availabale as im from multan too difficult here to find spares.

I swapped 5AFE into my Corolla 88. previously car hadd 2E.

Performance is atleast 40% better than 2E. Fuel Economy well I get around 190KM local without a/c on CNG and 170 with a/c. Its performnace is better than new 1.3 cars and good enough for daily use.

But if you are looking for very good performance than yes 7afe is the engine for you.

put in a 1 or 2NZ-FE - it fits perfectly and is more torquey in low revs, it also uses a timing chain hence one less item to worry about

@rocket: only some lx limited's had 4efe's...the same friend also had a 4efe lx limted of the same model !
