I have an iptv with 1mb dsl package and I just realized that My router is getting around 6mb bandwidth my dsl connection is 1mb which gives max 110k download is there some way to tap into the remaining 5mb bandwidth ? I rarely use my ip so dont care if it starts laging
You can't get a speed above 1 mb, what you see is your line profile for bursting. When you start a download you will see it shooting to above 200+ kB/s and then it will settle down to your speed of 1 mb that is 100-120 kB/s.
those are not max attainable speeds but even according to ptcl I have been alloted the 6megs for IPTV as it needs 2-4 megs dedicated at all times hence the 6megs but my user id for internet is limited at 1mb. I dont know the pass to my iptv setop box maybe i could use its Login

Just had a freind of mine write a custom firmware for my router not sure what he did in it but my new firmware is uncapped to the max which my line is around 6mbps
