I'm using a 4MB connection from PTCL, used to get 3.2 - 3.5 from Speedtest. But since two days, we're getting either 5MB or 7MB. Am I the only one whose getting this type of download speed? Or it's PTCL trying to force us to move to 6 MB connection, you don't know maybe it's PTCL being unpredictable. Don't think I use a 6-8 MB broadband connection, it's a 4 MB Package.

This proof shows that I'm getting 7.39 MB Download speed from speedtest. Plus, I'm using the ISB PTCL server since I don't see LHR-based PTCL speed testing server anymore.

I am also getting unbelievable downloading speed from my 2MB connection. :stuck_out_tongue:
Getting around 250-300 kB/s

That's probably the normal speed for 2 MB I guess. Normal speed for 4 MB is basically 320-370 KB/s. But in torrents I'm getting 450-500 KB/s and sometimes even more.

Same here in isb i am getting speed around 6-7 MB on 4 MB internet connection finally something positive from PeeTCL

Has Nayatel increased their speed that they offer? How is your experience? what happens if there is a downtime?

Wait till you get the same 8MB tarrif in your monthly bill

they havent but sometimes if some torrent has good seeds, speed goes upto 2.3 to 3mb/s
i was astonished to see that myself, otherwise normally speed is around 600kb/s
i havent faced any downtime so far
their service is simply the best

It should not happen, our connection deal from PTCL is 4 MB. We shouldn't get 7k bill.

What do you mean by 'nothing', you're not a PTCL user at all. It's also good since I'm getting more speed but it's something serious. I don't wanna pay bill of 5-8k. What type of package you use of NayaTel? 2MB?

Plus, NayaTel have became worst. My uncle uses NayaTel since like last 2 years now. In it's first year you used to get 450-500KB download speed during nights, but now my uncle gets 2 MB and doesn't go up even in nights.

Don't think I'm a PTCL Fanboy for this. NayaTel is still good in ISB and we want this in LHR, but my uncle's connection doesn't go above 1-2 MB during nights. This is just an experience.

I got just 1-2 MB through speed test on 4MB connection... :frowning: may be because the connection is shared and being used by 4 of us?

It's a possibility.

well i wonder if your uncles needs much of speed :stuck_out_tongue:
khair i dont face any such issues,if he does he should contact support
by nothing i meant comparatively what else :S
i used to pay 2700rs per month, now its 1700rs

i had da worst experience wid ptcl, was forced to shift n never regretted

one main line in Pakistan to Singapore was broken. After fixing that performance is better countrywide.

this is done willingly by them.as for month or so the dsl was down due to submarine cable issues none of us received speeds.now they have doubled the speeds on all the dsl`s for this month only so as to subsidise the previous month.
