generally the cars are bulletproof. common faults include (apart from the previous answer) weak lower ball joints, a hazard in some cases. fuel average isn’t bad though 1HD land cruisers would be preferable over this. i get around 7.5-9 in city depending on how i drive. while buying be sure to cross check both the frame numbers on the body and the frame itself to make sure they’re the same, and enter it in toyodiy and check the color code, year, model etc. i think getting a trusted technician to check the car would be a wise decision. these engines aren’t smoke free but they should not have a lot of smoke unless you’re redlining them. i think you should get a good one around 35-40 but it will require patience and a lot of searching regardless of where you live. also be sure to buy something with minimum repaints as it will be harder to sell if it has a lot of repaints. stick with the 1kz, the 3.4 might seem appealing at some point but their fuel average is really bad. 2.7s are underpowered and the 1kd engine will not survive on pakistani diesel
