i recently, about two weeks back, bought a 1000 watts inverter brand new for 3600 rupees... and dont ever connect it to the cigarette lighter if you want to use anything that would require above 300 watts... in that case connect it directly to the battery... or you'll end up with burnt wires...

it was from some electronic shop in blue area... i dont exactly remember its name... inface i didnt even saw its board in the first place... but there's an area on the front side of blue area where there are alot of electrical appliances shops in line... you'll find it there...
