Planning To Install Parking Sensors (Need Help)

As the title says I'm planning to install parking sensors. But the issue is I have seen here on PW that there are two types of Parking Sensors.

1 - It is installed by drilling holes in the bumper.

2 - No need of drilling holes in the bumper.

Can anyone here put some light on it.

Which is better?
Availability?
Price?

don't drill holes in ur bumper for parking sensors..there not worth it

You mean I should go for non-drilling ones OR you are saying I shouldn't go for the parking sensors at all.

Tell me which car it is ? i went for the parking camera for my vitz, but my friend said that it is useless because in the end, you will destroy your parking ability and you will relie on the sensors and camera for parking.

I drive Honda City '05. I only wanted to know the price and availability in my city, if anyone here knows about it. As I was about to buy the drill ones when I read about these non drill ones here on PW. So I stopped and decided to first know about these non-drill ones. If it ain't much high in price then I would opt for this rather then the old one.

go for the non drill ones..when they stop working..u can just bin them with out damaging ur car

i dont think u need sensor or camera for vitz
i got civic and i was using jet black tint at rear,so reverse cam was a must
also i dont get much idea of how much space trunk needs while reversing,so reverse cam helps alot

there's one thread where some1's selling non drill for 2.5k
but the other guy whose selling drilling one is for 3k but u can install two of them at rear n two at front where as non drill can be either at front or at back so that way seems cheaper
there will be 500rs installation charges too

You cannot use one set of sensors on both side. Either you can use all four at rear or at front.

there's a thread on PW where some1 selling it told himself that its possible plus i have seen cars having only two sensors at back so other two must b at front

Yeah sure why not, front view sensors are also available in market, you must have seen them.

but here i am saying on a single device you cannot use sensors at different places..
let me try to explain..

A box of sensor contains two main parts that is sensors and device.

sensors are fixed at bumpers while device tells us the distance between car and object.
The device power is connected through the reverse light (same as your rear view camera), this means when you put the reverse gear the sensors become active, and when you take out the reverse gear the sensors goes deactive. you may already know this, offcourse..
so here my point is while driving the car how will you activate the sensors.. oh by giving direct connection from ignition, okay....! but how will you know that the sensors are showing the distance between the car and object is of front or of rear..?

hope you get my point..! i am not saying i am right but to my mindset i know this.

for front i guess u can just use a switch otherwise in normal driving it'll keep beeping all the time
as for 2 at front n 2 at back,ask this guy who was selling it n said it

in pindi they are available for 3.5k,might lessen up a bit if negotiated.My friend was planning to install it but i talked him out of it. they are not worth it,better reverse using mirrors or rotating your neck
