Petrol Jerry can for generator - help!

Hi there,
I've a generator as shown in the pictures. We bought it through multiline and breaks down every few weeks. For the first year, we got it fixed under multiline one year warranty. Then we got a local mechanic who sorts it out whenever it stops to work which is quite often.
The mechanic says that it's always the same problem every time.. The combustion engine is clogged with muck and whenever they remove the petrol in the tank, it's yellow in color and smells funny. They have to clean the whole thing and then it works for a charm for a few weeks.
I personally go to shell petrol pump, h block defence and fill up the generator myself. So fraud is out of the question.
However I fill two Jerry cans (20 liters each) every 2-3 days. So the petrol basically stays in the can for a day or two.
Is it a possibility that the Jerry cans I use react with the petrol on them discolouring it and causing it to block the engine heads.
I've uploaded a few pics of the previous cans. Please note how they have discolored and there's also some sort of sediment in the bottom.
I want to get a proper petrol carrying container which can carry 20 litres in one go. Any idea from where I can get it?

Plus From today I've bought a new can (same plastic quality) but fill it and immediately pour it into the generator. But at times we need to store petrol for a day or two, so this isn't a permanent solution.

Here are a few pics of a month old plastic jerry can, which is empty. The petrol in it was similar in color. I cleaned it so there's less sediment now.

Its the dirt which they have in thier full tank which settle down after 2 days plus every company add color in thier petrol which settle as well

plastic is inert chemically and is also a by product of hydrocarbon. It will not react with the gasoline. Its recommended to use the approved gasoline container. in US its available made of plastic as well as metal. Use " malmal ka kapra" on the mouth of the generator tank every-time you fill up the tank.

Its recommended to use the approved gasoline container. in US its available made of plastic as well as metal. Use " malmal ka kapra" on the mouth of the generator tank every-time you fill up the tank.

Thank you sir, I will use the voile fabric you're talking about. Unfortunately here there's no such container available. I went to the market today and couldn't find any suitable container and ended up buying the same thing.
I use a metallic sieve and funnel to drain out the sediment but apparently the filtered petrol has muck which clogs the engine parts.
Is it possible that the plastic containers here have some paint or glue in the interior which reacts with the petrol?
It doesn't make sense. I fill up my cars from the same pump, their engines haven't seized. But keeping the same petrol in plastic cans changes its color and it smells weird. This means that there's something in the can that causes this problem.
I will search online for approved containers. U don't know how I will get hold of such containers here but at least I know what I'm looking for

It runs for around 6 - 8 hrs everyday and I fill it up with 15 liters. So thats around 2-3 liters /hr.

I wont be able to guide you properly, but if you live at home where there is Natural Gas, considered using Gas instead of petrol?
And for the jerry cans- Take a trip to Hyperstar or Metro, might find something useful there:)

I got a Angel 6200 watt generator, and i run it for 10-18 hours a day, at night for 8 hours is a must, and the rest is when i am gaming:)
It starts on gas from cold engine within 1-2 seconds, and it consumes 1.125 Unit per hour so it is quite efficient:)

Load: 1.5 Ton Split A/C, and Laptop, Speakers and 32" led.

No, we don't plan to use natural gas. This generator was built for petrol and we don't want further problems by converting it to gas

Did you find a suitable can, i know its been a couple of years but still wanting to know?
