Pajero engine swap 4m40 4d56 intercooler

Helli bro i need aome advice. I have just bought a pajero 93 intercooler prec
Viously owned by a dear friend he has swaped its 4d56 after getting ceized. With 4m40 and after few months i have got that from him it had a weak pump and oil on engine every where i was thinking to get pump repaired or replaced but got that engine ceized on the way to murree. Car was perfect i visited car fest in isb then had a stay at bhara kahu and in 15 minute without showing on heat guage there was smoke every where n no water in radiator though i have nt went to mistri yet and parked her in back yard. I want to explore all my options first. Do advice me what should i do?
Engine over haul
Find a new 4m40
Go back to 4d56
Or get rid of 30 years old engines and get some new tachnology petrol engine 5vz or some thing. I just need peaxe of mind

@huxaifa is for buying a new 4m40 a few friends say go back to orginal 4d56
And some insist toyota 3c turbo

a proper and complete overhaul will provide you peace of mind. Scrap yard engines have no gaurantee. You can try your best to locate a low mileage half cut and get an engine from that, otherwise a proper overhaul is the best solution

Overhauling of engine would be the best solution provided you get it done by a competent mechanic.
I have not had a very good experience in this regard with the 4m40.
A kabuli 4d46 in my gen1 is running fine for the last 9 yrs and it has been to all parts of the northern areas without any problems. If you can find a low mileage 4d56 or 4m40 in good condition, I would recommend you go for that

Meray doat nay pajero may 5vz lagaya tha bohot ziada fuel kha raha tha,iski viring kharab hojati hai sensor waghaira...ap new engine 4m40 lagao with fuel pump orignal turbo or viring k sath...2.5 engine bohot kamzor hotay hai

Better overhaul 4D56 completely and enjoy it for a long time. For kabli motor it may work or not and reliability is not equal to completely overhauled engine.

Overhauling the 4d56 will not be a hazzle as it's same engine used in Hyundai shehzore...so parts will not be problem.....
