[Ownership Experience] KIA Picanto 2020 Automatic

Hello there. I just got my Kia Picanto delivered, and I will be reviewing it briefly on this topic, and will try to clear all the apprehensions some people might have regarding this vehicle.

Delivery

I got it delivered from Kia Motors Potohar (Sowan Camp) on September 25, 2020.
I booked it on full payment of Rs. 2,042,000. (Also, I'm tax filer.)

I was quite surprised at the way everything was well-covered. I have owned brand new cars before but I've never seen manufacturers this good at it.

I really like the key fob, pretty similar to Sportage's key fob in dimensions. And the jack-knife works seamlessly.

Finally, brought home.

Features/Specifications

Now, this is where Kia shines. The lighting of the car looks absolutely amazing, especially in night time. And cultus is not at par with picanto. (I've shifted from a Cultus from Picanto, and I'll compare the two cars in the end of this review.)

Another impressive feature from kia. White lights that glow in both driver and passenger sides.

The headlight/DRL working is demonstrated in the following pictures:

DRL ON/headlights at off position. (Engine running)

Parking lights ON.

Headlights on. (I must admit, the fog lights/drl must not go off when you turn on the headlights, and I might alter it by a mechanic.)

Well, I guess because I wasn't able to get this car earlier. And it's only now that I was finally able to post an ownership review about it.

The speedometer is lovely.

Could've done a better job at the ac knobs, but nonetheless, they look amazing and the built quality is way over the top.

Silver is one of the best color in Picanto. First i didn't like this shade of silver but now it looks great. MA

Yes, my other car is white which was the main reason for opting silver. Looks really sutle, but nonetheless the white looks amazing too. I'll be posting a review on the civic facelift too if people demand it!

You can see the rear wipers working like a charm, and the washer does a good job too!

There are many threads of civic. Picanto needs some detailed ownership experience thread, and this detailed thread will definitely help many potential buyers.

The seperator looks really clean and I love the fact the Kia decided to give a light in the trunk as well.

Kia has done a really good job at the rear seats and the seperator (which you can unclip).
Could've put some tools in these empty boxes (like in civic ) but nonetheless, much better than suzuki pakistan.

@zuhaibafzal, Yes you're right. The main reason for posting a review was to commend the efforts of Kia Pakistan and motivate more people into considering other options like these in pakistan. And I think this car gives a really tough competition to the monopoly of suzuki pakistan. I've also been a cultus 2019 user, and - not that cultus is a bad car. It's a great car! But when you compare it to picanto, it's nowhere near it.

The tail-lights look amazing, and especially the reversing light position in the bumper which kia loves for some reason.
LED tail-lights would've been amazing but these are good, no doubt about that.

Here's a picture of the gear lever. I really love this gear, resembles that of grande. Again, as you can see it's covered really well.

And here's the driver's side window controls. Nothing special peculiar about it, built quality is good though.

The automatic emblem on the back of the car. I must admit, it looks a bit cheap though.

So, the picanto gets a 165/65/R14. The wheel cups look okay, but not great. I was getting the alloy rims, but the salesman suggested to wait for around a year and then get the alloy rims. I don't know what's the logic behind this but that's how they look like now.

The speedometer is one impressive thing about the picanto.
