Ormara beach and Gwadar Visit

Salam All, I am planning to visit Ormara beach and Gwadar in couple of days, most probably aftr Eid.

Travel Gurus plz advise which route to take frm Islambad to Ormara and thn Gwadar.

Please advise if there are any hotels and reosrts open at Ormara beach and Gwadar. I will be travelling with Family so advise accordingly plz.

I will be doing this trip in a 1.3 Gli, i hope that is okay.

Is the route safe to travel at night??

I will be staying fr 2 nights at Ormara and 2 nights at Gawadar.

You may need to drive all the way upto Sukkar Using motorway, then to karachi,. Karachi hub winder then Left turn To makran coastal highway Heading to gawader ormara exit is at T - Junction

Approx 1750 kms from isb to ormara,
Add 170 kms more from ormara to gawader

Bro Coastal highway requires a very fit car. Connectivity is a major issue. Iranian petrol. Cant say for the hotels. Stayed at Naval facility at Ormara back in 2015. Visited Gawaddar in 2017. Excellent trips. Do not travel on Coastal highway at night. Do not speak punjabi in front of locals...

Racial hatred. They often abduct and kill Punjabi speakers. Guess you havent been paying much attention.

I have visited Gawadar a couple of times, back in 2007 and earlier. Beautiful place, pristine beaches. Gracious local residents.

Unfortunately true. My father who is ex army and who led this trip specifically told us not to mention this or the fact that we were putting up in Army mess located on Hammer Head in Gawadar when my father,brother and I were going to the jetty to purchase fish and prawns. Its unfortunate that Army and Punjabi CAN land you in big trouble over there...

Am commuting over coastal highway since it was built. I travel solo n only i know where am heading n where i stop.

My travelling is work related i start at 5 n reach pasni ormara gawader As the destination may be; in under 10 hours

Only once i had problem due to bad fuel, to date i never got intercepted mid way other then regular CHECK POINTS only polite conversations no id no car paper checks.

I drive a sedan which blends very quickly in cities but not uncommon over Highways either.

It may be because my Gutham Gutha appearance. Am native Karachite Who can speak 3 Foreign languages including FARSI

@rehankillbill that juicy story of 2012 travel ordeal by a member is work of ‘sloth & envy’. Cut paste it in a note pad print out n read carefully.

After you read that for 3rd time i’m sure as a seasoned traveller you can figure how ‘the attitude n approach’ placed him into the trouble n more trouble. he failed to resolve it then n there with the boys who offered help’ again the ME & MY FAMILY connections stopped him to negotiate. It was about me my father n links / connections then me me more me & me.

A sane Supposedly educated person when stopped at a check post does not answer a question by a question.

Answering a question with a question opens up a pandoras box.

In some other thread i will share such ordeal when mullakand agency was under taliban n we were hostage for sometime how we got to ‘ let go’ is very funny story.
