Oil change Business

I am willing to open Oil Change point. Does anyone has knowledge or is doing this business. Anyone has idea how much we save from changing oil for 1 car.

Thought about doing the same for a long time. Talked to some people who themselves own such a shop and came to a conclusion that the only way people save is from oil cans. The oil cans get you around 250 Rs each varying from company to company and prices as well. The savings from filters go to the shop (for labor and their food plus bills etc) while the savings from cans are yours. The oil that comes out of cars (which is kept in those big steel drums) is sold separately which I'm not sure at how much is it sold and the savings from it. The other oil can saving is enough I guess depending on how many cars come to your shop daily. I estimated around 1 lac monthly at very least which is not very bad I guess. Hope I was of some help to you

As far as i have talked to a person now. He says om his estimate per car saving is 500-1000 Rupees. Idk whether its true or not.

In actual used oil per liter goes from 35rs to 50rs depending on season. Oil filters save you around 50 to 100rs per filter while new oils give you around 100 to 500rs of profit. Now the thing is the risk. The oil vendors sometimes slam you with fake oils and than ur in trouble. Most of the oils in market are fake. Even large distributorships tend to sell fake oils. So risk is always involved. Rest is the kharcha paani of chottu changing the oil etc.

One more query, Is it necessary to get oil from distributors? Can we take the supplies directly from companies. If yes tell me how.

As i am going to start from scrap and small level with just one oil change spot for now. Prayers needed. Inshallah will expand if it goes successfull.
