Noise from Brand New Honda City Dashboard

Salam.
I received my Honda City yesterday. Rattling sound is coming from right side of dashboard (just behind the steering).
Car is brand new, just 50kms driven.
Anybody else having the same.

I would recommend taking it back to the showroom or if its not too bothersome, wait until the first inspection.

I am having the same issue at same spot. Plus one other noise just near Middle pillar(B pillar I suppose) towards fuel tank cap side of the car. Did anyone get it checked from dealer mine is 700 Km driven

is noise coming during day time as in my car the dashboard expand due to sun heat and after maghrib its dead i mean no noise at all

I have visited dealer. They said that they will open the dashboard and fix it ... hopefully

some noise also coming from the front doors ...
I will get it checked and fixed after Eid . Insha ALLAH ..

Does this noise come on plain road and all the time or it comes only on bumpy/ uneven road.?

all the time .. plain and bumpy roads.

mine has settled now.. no noise… may be it was because of the UV rays my dashboard might have expanded and started making noises… next time register any noise on cold dashboard.

keep video record of it because if they sometime disappear. dealership just wont focus on it and will deny it saying its all ok

most of the times unfortunately. its bcz of bad assembling or loose nut bolts . chronic noise after fixing means noise will be there for you and only fix is using some sort of wd-40 by them to reduce the rubbing part.

I think i have caught the culprit. I went to dealership the guy said issue is with the pillar cover behind steering wheel. But he said expert is on leave. Come back after eid. I didn’t believe him much. But when i was travelling last night and sound starting coming again. I placed my one hand on this pillar cover and continued driving even on bumpy/ unpaved road (caution : don’t try it on busy road)

noise went away. I put my hand back and after few minutes noise started coming again. I tried it couple of times during my drive last night. I think this cover is loose and will get it adjust after eid.

I am having exactly the same issue since few months. I called them and they asked to bring my car on Monday. Very disappointing to see the quality we are getting for the such a premium price.

I will try your method to see if the issue is same and will inform during inspection.

Have they resolved your issue?

Went to Honda Avenue today. Guy removed this pillar cover and put double tape inside and told me it’s a common problem in old city and new. It was there in Brv and but like civic they have placed foam inside borders of all covers inorder to avoid this noise. Will update after few days regarding noise. Hopefull that Inshaa Allah it’s solved already.
