...The Nissan President is a Japanese luxury limousine introduced by Nissan in the 1960s and sold only in the Japanese market. The President is used mainly as a corporate chauffeur car for government and corporate officials; a short-wheelbase version debuted in the USA as Infiniti Q45, with a different front end. Both shared the new 4.5 litre VH45DE V8 engine. This is an absolutely top notch quality car which has everything from all power seats, leather, ABS, cruise control, power windows/doors/mirrors, heated seats to air suspension and 18" rims.

Unfortunately, Q45 could not compete with other luxury sedans in that market segment and Infinity had to stop selling it, even though it was the cheapest sedan in that segment. This current model that you have shown here looks a lot like the Nissan Maxima sold in the US market. The front grill is different but the headlights, tail lights and body panels look very similar. The engine bay is spacious enough to accommodate a V8.

Silver, large, and implanted with a powerful 340 horsepower V8, Infiniti's Q45 is a bit of a luxury car bargain at $60,000 (US). But, you get what you pay for, and this "bare bones" Infiniti offered only one thing in abundance and that was acceleration. It just wanted to go quickly. Of course, the downside was a real thirst for premium fuel. We were hard pressed to get 20 mpg and in town and that mark could fall to 16 mpg with ease. In other words, if you want to move 4000 pounds of car in well under seven seconds be prepared to pay at the pump.
