SsangYong renews the Kyron 18 months after its launching. It has changes in the outer design, the suspension and more powerful a diesel engine, of 165 CV
€ is on sale from 28,300. There are no important differences of price nor of equipment between previous and the new Kyron (comparative card).
The Kyron is a whole land of 4.66 ms of length, with total traction and five seats. By his dimensions, he is very similar to a Hyundai Santa Fe and a Mazda CX-7. It is only 6 cm shorter than the Rexton, that can have up to seven seats.

One develops or outside the highway, although it does not go so or in highway as other whole asphalt land more - like a 4007 Peugeot or a Chevrolet Captiva.
Among other whole land of similar characteristics, the economic Kyron (28,300 €) emphasizes for being the one that has a smaller price . Yes there are other smaller and economic models of price and consumption, but all of them more are focused to highway than to all land.
The equipment of series of the Kyron is not abundant and has some deficiencies, like airbags lateral forwards.
Some similar models by price and power to the version of the Kyron with the new motor of 165 CV (32,900 €) cost less and have some deficiencies of equipment, like a Hyundai Terracan or a KIA Sorento. A Rexton (32,260 €) and a Nissan X-Trail of 173 CV (31,700 €) are slightly economic and less are equipped than the Kyron.

Like the previous Kyron, the new one is available with two levels of equipment: “Premium” and “Limited”. Both versions have like series equipment: airbag frontal and of head, control of stability (ESP), control of slope reduction (HDC), climatizador, bars of ceiling, reducing and alloy rims of 18” (with tires 255/60), among other elements. The “Limited” also has leather tapestry, front seats calefactados and electrical solar ceiling, among other elements.
The Kyron has conectable traction manually, does not have central differential.
In highway it is necessary to go with back traction. The total traction is due to connect on very sliding surfaces (earth or snow). When the land is very rustic or is very inclined hills, the most indicated it is to put the traction and the reducing one total.

It can be bought with two diesel engines, both of origin Mercedes-Benz. In Spain, there will be no a version of the Kyron with gasoline motor.
Now it can take a motor of five cylinders, with 2.7 ls of piston displacement and 165 CV of podenca. He is he himself that has the Rodius and the Rexton. It has direct injection by common conduit and turbocompressor of fixed entrance.

The other motor is four cylinders of 2.0 ls of piston displacement and 141 CV of power, that already take to the previous Kyron and the Actyon. The new versions with the motor of 141 CV have the same benefits that previous and a consumption upper.
With either motor - of 141 or 165 CV- the gear box of series is manual of five speeds.
Optionally there is an automatic gear box of five relations with converter of hydraulic pair, more adapted than the manual for circulation outside highway.
The suspension is independent with triangles superposed ahead. Behind, all the versions take a rigid axis, except for most powerful with automatic change, that has an independent system. The version with independent back suspension also has a direction of variable hardness.
