Need help planning a trip near Karachi

A friend, his wife and 2 kids are visiting Karachi from Lahore, after many years. They are looking to go away for a day or two, to some place like the beach or perhaps Kund Malir, but they are open for options. Any suggestions of a safe place where a family of 4 can go for maybe 2 days and a night? Please help! thanks!

Hi,

If you want to visit any beach then go to Gadani or plan a trip to Charna Island.

Kund Malir is very very far, around 4 hours drive, and there is nothing special over there. just an average beach, so I wouldn't advise you going there.

You can also take them to any good Bar B.Q restaurant; the taste of food in Karachi is much much better than Lahore, they'll love it.

I would second @sufian00 here, because, its cold, otherwise Charna Island activity (Snorkling+Scuba Diving) would take good 5-7 hours plus hell lot of fun.

Though as friends are from Lahore, they could bear the Karachi-winter, so a night stay at nearby becahes (Hawksbay etc) would be a fun, make sure you hire some Makrani driver atleast just to be at safe side.

If they are nature lover, Kalri Lake or Gorakh Hills might spice up the fun and will allow camping + day/night stay.

Breakfast at Boat Basin with Charsi/BBQ Paratha

Port Grand - Boat trip + Dinner will give another angle to fun and consume their 4-5 hours

its my opinion hire a professional driver from station for 2 days for whole karachi and print out my above list and give them to the driver and don't waste your lot of time for 1 place
remember you have only 2 days and 1 night
