Need advice on Toyota avanza 2013

Hi there,
My family is thinking of buying a 7 seater as we need such a car during summer to haul our family from one place to another. We're thinking about Toyota avanza 2013 which is available from Toyota indus motors. I'm not sure whether it's stable at high speeds or not. Because the previous model was quite unstable according to Internet reviews.
Please advise on whether it's a good option or not. Our second option is the new civic. Though it won't have as many seats we'll manage somehow by using a second car, etc.
Toyota avanza seems to have a reasonable price but I'm concerned about its stability at high speeds and small engine(thus poor fuel economy and performance) .
What do u guys think? Has anyone bought it as yet?

New Civic or Avenza will cost you around 2.5M, as your requirement is for 7 seater if you can go for an SUV around this budget better look for one and if you have reservation at vehicle's age then think about Honda Crossroad or Honda Stream.Both can cater 7 passengers and for sure both are much better in quality if compared with the two under your consideration.

toyota Isis or toyota wish both are seven seater n real value for money....

Thanks for your replies. But my father wants a brand new car, even though we have an excellent experience of a JDM he somehow isn't keen on buying a used car.

Avanza is not at all value for money, The last row isnt accessible easily aswell and not comfortable aswell either, Try looking for Toyota Wish, or ISIS or Other used Japanese cars options, If New is the only option Suzuki APV is also an option, BTW APV and AVANZA both are indonesian made.

People who have owned Suzuki APV have often bought one after another. I know two such satisfied customers. A/C is chilling cold even in the heat ov Sialkot's July summers.

Bro in dec 2012 while we were looking for New Car, My Dad liked the Avanza parked at Toyota Thokar Niaz Baig Motors..... i didnt liked it from the time i saw it. My Dad was quite interested to buy it and because of his pressure i was forced to have its test drive!!!! and bro trust me, it was like i was driving a Carry Dabba!!!

seats were too much hard!
Engine is small, comparing to body size!
Only available in Manual transmission and that too a Pathetic one!!!
Rear Seats are hard like as of Probox!

in the end, we bought 9th gen Civic!!! and we are loving it!

Get a JDM, I had a same situation back in 2009 and ended up with a Toyota Estima Lucida, seen in my avatar. They are a challenge to maintain but ultimate in luxury and comfort, all seats have same space for passengers and a very generous boot as well.

Well never drove it but seems like a tin ka dabba, but can't judge it this way. Anyways, you can still opt for Honda Stream, Toyota Wish or Toyota Fortuner. These are good 7 seaters!

Go for the Civic. Although, it won't give you the 7 seating capacity, but at least it will be comfortable for 4-5 passengers. Avenza is going to be uncomfortable for all 7 passengers. Simple rule of quality over quantity!
I also agree with your father - a brand new car is simply better than buying a USED car (even if it's JDM). Back in the 80s and 90s, there were some JDM options which came reconditioned. But the scrap metals coming to Pakistan nowadays are nothing but!
Of course there are exceptions, and a well maintained JDM is definitely worth the money and the build quality is far superior to that of even a PKDM civic. However, the likelihood of finding such a good piece is very very less.

So civic it is for you And congrats in advance!
