I have visited naran from 8-8-15 to 11-8-15.we were two families having 7 members adult and 3 Children
We were on Toyota Gli 2013 and Honda city 2014.The tour was wonderful and full of charm and happiness.
It is my 5th trip to Naran. The very last trip was on June 8 2013. The Naran is totally different within 2 years. Very much pollution. One way traffic, traffic wardons, hotels ?hotels.. Hotel?. Jeeps jeeps jeeps.
I think within two yeas the Nrana is as Congested as Murree.
I have write my observations and experience of babusar top in below mentioned headings and some suggestions for pkawheelers want to go to babusar pass.
Time : the total time from Islamabad to Naran is aproximatly 6-7 hours. It depends upon you and your stay at some places. ( this time is for own Car/jeep etc and time may vary depends upon your stay at different places.)
Petrol: I made tank full from mansehra and go to naran and then Babusar top.The consumption of petrol from Mansehra to babusar top and back to Naran is half tank . we can easily manage our tour to babusar pass from Mansehra and return back till Mansehra with one full tank of petrol easily.
Stay: I have stayed at Hotel De Manchi. My hotel stay was the worst experience . the hotel per night rent for a double bed room was 8000/ and the management is very much rude and don.t have any experience dealing customesr.also never try their BBQ.I never ever recommend to any one stay at this hotel.. on return I noticed that the village POLODHARAN is much better to stay then Naran.(5 km away from Naran)
Mobile Service/3G/ WiFi:
Mobile service is available till Naran.WIFI almost availabale within Naran .3G of telenor is available from Islamabad to near about Kaghan. There is no 3G of any company is available at Naran. ( from Balakot to Kaghan telenore has full coverage of 3g except some places.
Babusar Top.
On 10-8-2015 we start our journey to Babusar top from 70am. The road is very much good except 5 KM sand and crush road near babusar top and 2 or 3 bad patches of 100 to 200 meters. every car can go Babusar top easily. Bikes even CD 70 are also there. I saw many Japanese car along with Suzuki every 660 cc there. So there is no issue of car to go to Babusar top.
Lunch brake.
There are 4 points for luch or wash room. The main point is moon restaurant at beeesar. And one is at mahandri having washroom facility.
August is the month to reach to babusar pass . but in June July August the Naran is fully packed and hotel rents are at its top. I recommend to stay hotels before Naran or After Naran..
