Gentleman, i would be posting updates / information / experience of My Suzuki Vitara 2017 GLX +.... But in brief this car so far is an absolutely fantastic car, very responsive with plenty of oomph and peppy engine. Has excellent features and is a true value for money....So stay tuned for the updates......
Ok, I won't be going into minor details but would like to cover few things that might be holding back potential buyers or just Vitara enthusiasts wanting to know more about this car. Let me add here that, I was previously owning a Toyota Altis 1.6 SR (2012) and a Honda Civic before that. I got this car from Suzuki Federal Motors Islamabad after a lot of positive feedback from various quarters. I thank Mr Ali the director of Suzuki Federal Motors Islamabad for an extremely friendly, professional and swift response. He is a very down to earth and learned gentleman. I would recommend potential buyers to must pay them a visit. So here we go:-
Exterior
The muscular body of the all new Vitara turns heads.... Looks quite similar to Range Rover Evoque. Has a very compact and agile presense.
Interior
Although, some may complain of its plasticky feel. But I personally feel the spacious interior of the Vitara redefines Compact SUV comfort and driving intelligence, with a high level of finish throughout. Has got an excellent all round view and a high driving position. Love the analog clock in the centre and the huge android touch screen. When you enter the driving seat of Vitara you feel the presence of European style.
Storage / Space
The Vitara is designed around the different things you do. The interior has a massive 375 litres of luggage space plus 60:40 split folding rear seats and a movable luggage board for total versatility. The lower tailgate makes for extra easy loading. I consider that good enough space.
Performance
When I had first made up my mind of buying Vitara, I literally went through hours of my precious time reading about Vitara and watching its videos on YouTube. I didn't know of anyone owning it to get first hand experience. The one thing bothering me was its 1.6 Naturally aspirated Engine, as some complained about it being somewhat "underpowered". Now, I will be blunt honest about it.... The engine in Auto mode needs some pressing of the accelerator or I would say adjustment of foot with accelerator as for the first time it feels slow to takeoff. Once this is achieved then Voila.....It is extremely responsive car just need to floor the pedal. In Sports mode (All wheels) the car is very agile and with plenty of oomph.....Pedal shifters are a joy to use in either D mode or M mode. I never felt the engine to be underpowered but would honestly term it as"Very Capable". The cruise control and speed limiter works like a charm. Features like Push start, Rain sensing vipers, Auto levelling Headlights, big Panoramic roof, Traction Control and Hill decent are all those goodies normally found in a much more expensive cars. The Continental tyres are very soft and grippy.
AllGrip (4WD)
The all new Vitara comes with ALLGRIP, Suzuki’s fully integrated 4WD system, that maximizes road grip. One can choose from four driving modes: ‘Auto’, ‘Sport’, ‘Snow’ and ‘Lock with one turn of the dial.. This system lets you rediscover what the compact SUV was always designed for: all-out adventure, that's why I named it a "Baby Beast"
Fuel Efficiency
Fuel efficiency depends more on a driver’s skills and habits but nevertheless Vitara's fuel efficiency is as good as my Toyota Altis 1.6 or even better showing an average of approx 13.5kmpl with AC on and shifting between Auto and Sports mode. I am confident that it will surely improve with more running.
Overall, I am in love with this car and feel thrilled and excited whenever I am behind wheel. Once you drive Vitara you feel like sitting in a much more luxurious car...It's independent suspension is a joy, very soft and predictable. Vitara is a peppy car that i would consider as true value for your hard earned money.
I am open to whatever queries or questions you have about it.
