My 2007 suzuki jimny is stuck in 4WDL mode and will not switch back to 2WD - Help req

I hope and pray that this thread of mine finds all of you at the zenith of your health. I am seeking help regarding a 2007 jimny 4wd system problem.
It came with electronic 4wd and got buttons like this for 4wd.

Today while it was raining heavily I shifted to 4wd L but later when I tried to convert to 2wd the system refused to shift back. While the 2wd button was pressed the 4L written in the cluster will flash with a beep but will not shift to 2wd.

Prev a long press used to make the 4wd green icon disappear in the cluster with sound from the belly of SUV indicating the 4wd disengaging but now it will just beep.

I have flashed the ecu also but to no avail. The suv is equipped with m13a and in a top notch condition ma sha Allah.
I would have taken it to dealership but next two days are off and I have to go to my village so I really need/anticipate any DIY sort of help from pros here.

AOA dear I used to have HILUX SSR earlier. The reason for being stuck in 4WD locked is the drive train binding. One easy way to release is to put the car in reverse with 4WD-L and hard reverse a few feet. This will ease the load on gears and will switch back to 2WD, This is proven and worked several times for me. RIAZ.

sir I have no words to express my gratitude to you. Your help was well in time and I am happy to tell you that yes it worked and the vehicle is back on 2wd mode.
It went like that when I read ur reply , instead of replying here I straightaway picked the keys and started the vehicle and reversed it in the premises of my home several times but the 4L was adamant not to go away . Its raining cats and dogs here but still I decided to try my luck out on the road in open n deserted street. First short reverse run met a failure but second reverse run of about 500 meters was lucky, after the run when I pressed the 2wd button my ears were aching to listen to the most awaited CLICK sound from the belly of the car and yeah it happened and my joy was evident from the extra long wheel spin when I leaped towards my home.

Its a tough vehicle. It can go to those places where u see those jeeps and double cabin in northern areas, but not sure abt 660CC version engine.

I had the 1300cc PS Jimny and I can tell u it can go anywhere. I am not sure about the 660 version.

I have 660CC jimny. its power almost same like 1300cc as it has turbo engine. Don't worry about its power it can go anyway with 4wdL gear.
