I have Mitsubishi lancer 2004 model, glx, 1.3L automatic car.
Dear all members, can anyone recommend me a good car tuning mechanic for my car. Since last one year I have been getting relatively low fuel economy on long routes. I drive on light foot, and the car is automatic. I am getting 11 km/liter on long routes (on motorway's, M1-2,4) @100-120km/hr, with rpm between 2500 to 3000.
Here are the things I tried to get better fuel economy .
- Change car air filter every 3000 km.
- Keep the tyre air pressure at 30 PSi
- Got the car checked for spark plugs twice this year.
- cleaned the butterfly intake valve 3 times this year.
- car used to give water in exhaust , but now although the exhaust is colorless, however there is no water coming out of it.
My guess the air fuel mixture ratio is disturbed.
I used to get 13.8 approx. 14 km/liter on motorway at the rate of 120 km/hr from this car. But now I am getting 11km/liter at the rate of 100-120 km/hr.
If any one else had the same issue and had this issue resolved, kindly recommend me a good tune up mechanic for Mitsubishi lancer in Lahore, who can also check the car's parameters by connecting computer with the car.
Thanks
