Mehran engine oil capacity is 2.5L 20W-50

the owner manual says add 2.5L and check the level if low add more so it should be 2.60L max why then the stupid mechs out there add 3L
and according to our temp conditions the grade is 20w-50 (as in owner's manual)
also change interval is 5-10k kms according to the manual

so to conclude one should add 20w-50(the cheapest one...by shell ,caltax etc)that too 2.5L ,dont get mugged by those advertising for fancier ones,buy the cheapest oil(as long as its not fake) and change it not before 5k

Well, actually people pour 3L or 3.25L in mehrans.
If you will pour 2.5L even then it would be ok. But check carefully the heat index. And also physically if the engine is remitting more heat than normal. If yes, then better top it up its level to 3L full.

The Shell oil replacement center i usually go always pour 3L Shell 10-40 Yellow can in my Mehran but I always wanted to get a document of confirmation that whether he is doing the right way or wrong so finally now i know he was wrong. so i reckon next time when i get the oil replaced probably when the summers would be approching i should use the Red can of shell i.e. 20-50 and not more then 2.6L

it should be in the middle no matter you are driving in city, motorways or offroads.
If its on upper hot, then its not good sign infact.

can you please confirm this thing because i got my mehran zero meter from pak suzuki and ever since i got it it's always maintained on uper dot even from the factory and even on every mechanic visit or even oil replacement time. when we pour 3L it comes on uper dot always. now i am getting more curious.

Best engine oil for suzuki mehran 2013

hello guys.. i need to change engine oil for mehran 2013 model. its driven 46000 km. previously i used Zic X7 10w-40. should i go for 10w-40 again or switch it to Zic Hiflo 20w-50 or Zic A+ 5w-20. im also confused what is exactly the difference between 5w-20, 10w-40 and 20w-50. which will be the best oil according to car engine and current pakistan weather.

Actually mehran engine capacity is of 2.5 litres but 0.5 litres is for oil filter, thats why in total it is 3.0 litres

No way that the oil filter of Suzuki mehran contains half litre of Engine oil . It hardly contain 100 ml to 150ml as it's a small filter.

Is your car is consuming 10W40 engine oil. if yes ,you need to follow these steps before you go for thicker Oil.
Replace Air Filter and must go for the good one.
After that you can change the brand and go for better one ,as you Car is almost new so you shouldn't go for 20W50.
