Now, to make sure everybody know about everything, there are two Shapes for 2014 Toyota Corolla

(1) US Toyota Corolla for Canada, USA, Latin America!
(2) EU Toyota Corolla for Rest Of the World!

I can't assure you which one is coming to PAKISTAN but i am sure the Fabulous EU will be selected as it has been released in RUSSIA (sep), TURKEY (sep), TAIWAN (one day ago), THAILAND (prob in a week) and INDIA (probably by the end of this Year)!

INDUS Motors and All the Showroom Authorities are denying Everything about the New shape but we all know that its gonna come by the end of 2014 in PAKISTAN so fingers Crossed!

Toyota Corolla ALTIS has been released in two trims in TAIWAN, one standard 1.8L and other being the ALTIS Z, with a bodykit, bigger Alloy rims and Black interior with full leather seats!

Following are pics of ALL NEW TOYOTA COROLLA ALTIS Z! remember these types of Body Kits will be available for XLi, GLi, 2.0D and ALTIS too!

Basically somewhat the S premium NA version... Just the exterior body kits, bigger wheels and a spoiler and here it becomes a sports.. everything under the skin remains same.

i cant tell you about that but having paddle shifters and a modified exhaust than normal and other stuff makes it different, its not just the outer bodykit, its different from inside too
about the US S and simple L, Le ECO exteriorly theres only a difference of the front bumper, interior has the same paddle shifters and same other stuff like this trim!

Dear brother.. There is no competition here which is old thread or new or old page. I saw a corolla in real and in my local Toyota dealership. I shared and took pictures as soon as the car arrived to the dealership. Altis Z is with same 1.8 Engine. same 132 or 140HP Engine with CVT transmission. CVT is not for sports.. its for economy only. Just sporty looking body kits and titanium trims on the body. The LED display is same as US S trim. Paddle shifters will not make it fast. nor a sports car. A manual corolla will still be faster than an automatic with paddle shifters.
I drive a 2L turbocharged car with paddle shifters and the manual car is faster than mine for same trim and model.

Below is the S trim cluster and some more shots. I feel US S premium version SO CALLED more sportier with option for traction control off and S mode. Once Sport Mode is enabled, the Engine Control Unit and simulated shift points are changed to enable a sportier feel. Euro version lacks this as seen in the pictures posted in the opening post.
As far as steering wheels controls. S premium is with more options as can be seen below.

A guy in The Ministry of Production and Industries, Government of Pakistan has given out the information that 2014 Corolla will be launched by Toyota Indus in March 2014. I'd rather it's launched today than wait till the end of 2014 which is another guess on this forum (September 2014). MOP (Ministry of Production and Industries) guy is standing by his word that the launch date is March 2014. The sooner the better.

The US shape sucks, the European shape is much more beautiful. Let's hope it's the European one which is coming to Pakistan. There is one axiom to conclude from, whatever shape comes in Thailand will be taken up by Indus Motors. The 2014 shape is yet to be launched in Thailand, just keep checking this website when it is launched there: http://www.toyota.co.th/en/. Just click on the icon 'Toyota Vehicles' and check the shape of the Altis. Mind you, the main welcome page will be highlighted too when the new Corolla Altis is launched in Thailand. It will be sometime in November or December 2013 in Thailand when the new Altis will be launched. You can also go directly go to Atis's website here: http://www.toyota.co.th/altis/.

I hope it is the European shape and not the US shape which is so ugly. If it is the US shape, I won't buy it.

One more thing: Just look at the interior of this new Corolla. It is so crappy that it reminds me of a Bedford truck from the 1970s. It doesn't have the curves which makes it look beautiful. I can understand that making the interior curvy to make it look beautiful requires money. Toyota wants to save money by giving out a crappy interior. I'm particularly talking about the dashboard and look at the glove compartment on the passenger side. It lacks the curves. I've attached a pic of the interior so that you guys can make up your mind. It is so straight having no curves.

Same goes for the BMW interior if you compare it with the interior of a Mercedes. Mercedes's interior has such lovely curves which are not there in a BMW. It (BMW's) is also so 'straightish'.

One more thing. This interior has a black colour and for me black interior sucks. Interior with a beige colour or other light colours like cream or camel look so beautiful. Go to Mercedes-Shahnawaz and have a look at the colour of a C180 or C200 which has a beige or other lighter colour, it looks so beautiful. Black interior looks so ugly.

I would like to make myself clear. Please look at the first picture.
Here the dashboard is very 'straightish', I mean it doesn't have curves. The central console is very straight too having no curves. I'm talking about the area where the navigation screen and the fan vents are.

Now look at the second picture from a Mercedes C class. Look at the dashboard. It has all the beautiful curves which makes it look so attractive. Look at the central console. It too has all the curves making it look pretty, something missing in the corolla. I don't like the grey colour which one can get changed but this picture does have the curves I'm trying to demonstrate to you.

Now look at the third picture from a Mercedes S class which shows how beautiful an interior with a lighter colour looks. This is the beige colour I've been talking about.

Now look at the fourth picture from a Mercedes C class. This has a lighter colour and looks so beautiful.

Now look at the fifth picture. This is from a BMW 5 series. This is the interior with a lighter colour. See how beautiful it looks.

Compare it with the same car having a black interior in this sixth picture.. It doesn't look good at all. Now some people might like a black interior but remember more people like interiors with lighter colours. This is the reason why cars with light-coloured interiors fetch you more price as compared to those with a black colour.

I do like the current interior of the corolla. I will be able to comment on the upcoming 2014 Toyota Indus Corolla once I sit in it. I've the impression that the current interior is more curvy than the one which is shown in the picture of the 2014 Corolla. I hope they come up with an interior with a lighter colour, preferably a beige one and definitely not a black one.

mohataram.. why you are comparing a economical everyone car I mean Corolla with a Luxury sedan? There is no comparison at all. C class starts 2 times the price of corolla. Also whatever you say Corolla is best selling sedan all over the world.. in some cases the sale of corolla is more then the combine sales of different models of other brands.

Also Toyota designers are professionals with years of experience that's why they are sitting on design boards while we are sitting here on pakwheels discussing. have you ever seen an abstract art? only those can comment and understand on the painting who know abstract art. for us it might be just waste of paint and time. BTW just to clarify I wanted to make a neutral comment. I have nothing to do with Toyota or Mercedes.

I have personally seen the car and its a major upgrade in new Toyota and it looks much better.

Please also note the lighter colour of the interior. I take lighter colour as prettier than one with a darker one. Let's hope the 2014 Toyota Indus Corolla comes with a beige interior.

after having gone through this thread i would like to point out one thing..i do not own a corolla but ive driven it many times. a couple of months back i drove it for 300kms..in which the curvy interior of the current model in pak (corolla 2013) felt very cramped up as the curves somehow choked up the side to side movement of legs while driving..(one does relax the legs while driving,especially the left one when you are not pressing the clutch pedal)
whereas on the other hand in current honda city (plz no battle intended) the curviness is less..hence more leg room
summarizing my comments..the newer 2014 model will give more leg space as is apparent from the less curvy interior displayed..hence enhancing the drive comfort..

(H)tnx for this nice article and great pics.i have xli 2010 on cng and i love it.have had previous two shapes in 2.od loved them too.the new shape in photos is not good enough as the present one from outside.just little plain besides the wheel arches.the price hike for the new model is uncharacteristic of corolla.this is a poor manz lamozine but it seems to be in hot pursuit of civic.hope the best days are not behind it
