Of course Manual transmission (MT) car gives better fuel efficiency than an automatic transmission (AT), provided we are comparing same cars, like Honda City 1.3L MT, VS Honda City 1.3L with automatic transmission (AT).

CVT / AGS are better than conventional ATs, when it comes to fuel efficiency.
