I could not read its license plate. The idiot thought I was trying to race with him and started to make dangerous overtakes so eventually I gave up and let him go.
Many of these drivers are used to driving the khota buses and now they have daewoos and Man under their hands. Almost all are overspeeding except for Original Sammi Daewoo.
Hi!
Firstly, I would like to appreciate your efforts in bringing news regarding all these new buses to this forum.
However, I have been reading many posts on this thread and would like to point out and correct the few factual inaccuracies that I have encountered here.
Before I continue, it is worth mentioning that I am currently working as a Product & Application Engineer in the Bus Division of VPL Limted (previously Volvo Pakistan Limited). VPL is the company that have actually imported all of the Volvo buses into Pakistan that you see here and sold them to local operators such as Daewoo Express. We not only represent Volvo Bus Company in Pakistan but also Sunwin (Volvo's Chinese Joint-Venture) and Golden Dragon in Pakistan. For further information, please refer to the links at the end of this post.
Now back to the matter at hand. There are two types of Volvo buses that have been mentioned in this thread, the ones owned by Daewoo Express and the ones by QConnect. Both are variants of the Volvo B11R chassis with different bodies. The ones owned by Daewoo Express were sold by VPL and their approximate price is 3 crore, 30 lakh PKR (not 1 crore 30 lakh as you mentioned). These Volvo buses have chassis and drivelines made by Volvo while the body has been built by Marcopolo which is a Brazilian company. Furthermore, these buses have Volvo's patented I-Shift transmissions which are actually Automated Manual Transmissions (neither fully manual nor fully automatic but the best of both worlds in terms of giving better fuel economy than a manual yet needing no more input from the driver than an automatic does). They have 12 forward and 4 reverse gears. Links with further detail are given below.
Similarly, VPL has a subsidiary company known as Premval that represents Golden Dragon in Pakistan. Golden Dragon is a Chinese bus manufacturing company that has no relation to Hino a post of your hints at. The bus in the pictures you posted is a Golden Dragon bus with model number XML6127J6 You may have heard that Golden Dragon has sold 40 buses to Daewoo Express last month via Premval. Press releases for this news and pictures have been shared below.
Additionally, I would also like to mention that the buses operating in all three current Metrobus projects have been sold by VPL. These buses are Sunwin's which is a Volvo joint-venture company in China. Other than the buses themselves, if you put the propaganda on the media aside, you'll see that the metrobus projects are derived from the concept of a Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS). Almost every major city in the world has one today and Volvo was one of the pioneers that introduced this concept in Brazil. Links below for further information.

Bro you shared detailed information regarding busses. I travelled on approximately all busses available in pakistan, i wanna describe my experience.
First bus is volvo marcopolo which daewoo has is comfortable and smooth but too noisy, i don't know the reason but its engine's voice is even more than a 1980s truck running on pakistani roads and is very annoying for the passengers, remaining it have everything of european standard. I will rate it 6/10 due to a major drawback and the price tag.
Second is Yutong, a chinese bus manufacturers locally by Master Automobile, hence names Yutong Master, the bus is absolute stunner, having beautiful design, clean and fascinating crafting of interior, euro 3 technology, luxury seats, same european style driver cockpit and finally pretty silent. The only drawback I experienced in this is that, it is little hard in terms of suspension. Currently yutong master in 2 version 1 with 49 seats and second with 45 seats. The company just manufactured its 240th unit in pakistan and grabbed the market with the fastest ever rate in pakistan, due to its high quality and european standard and the pricetag. The bus is available in the fleet of almost every bus company in pakistan even in the Daewoo express. It costs around 1 crore 44 lacs. I will rate it 9/10.
The third bus is the king of all busses in pakistan Daewoo BH120 F, the only word i have for this is "perfect". The Bh120F also manufactured locally in pakistan have every thing which a super luxury bus must. From the designing to engine to interior, it is the perfect bus. Having the best engine and suspension available in Pakistan this bus is the first choice of every pakistani bus company, like yutong, this bus also available in the fleet of almost every bus company. This bus is also available in two variants one with 44 seats and one with 40 seats. This bus costs around 1 crore 30 to 1 crore 40 lacs. I will rate it 10/10.
Forth is imported chinese Higer bus, this i will guarantee is the best bus available in pakistan, everything of this bus is of very high standard, even i will say it will compete with volvo too, the bus is rare due to the reason that it is not locally manufacture but instead import from china, which requires more time and raises its price too. The bus is most comfortable, crafting is more than perfect, with european style high deck and lower driver cabin. It looks stunning from outside the paint job is fabulous. It is currently available in the fleet of Ali Express(Lahore), New Subhan Skyways(Faislabad), A.K movers (Quetta) and Adilshah Coaches (Karachi). This bus is available in pakistan at a cost of 1.55 crores. I will rate it as 10/10.
Fifth entry of the recent Hyundai Universe which is also perfect as the other korean Daewoo is and also locally manufactured but its price is too high, so companies will prefer daewoo as it is the same and will cost them low too. The price tag of Hyundai Universe s 2.2 crores and is new in the market. currently only Ak Movers have the fleet of Hyundai Universe and the popularity of this bus in coming days will decides its future market as some bus companies prefer quality over money. I will rate it 9/10 due to its very high price.
Sixth is Man bus, only 30 of these available in pakistan and it is also not the original german but chinese version manufactured by KingLong automobile China. The fleet which Bilal travels have fist unveiled in 2010 and the chinese manufactured doesn't changed any thing in this till now. The bus is also of very high standard but the exterior is pretty old fashioned which the original Man germany never manufactured. This bus also costs around 2 crores but is very rare in Pakistan.
At seventh is Hino's another flop try to enter in pakistani bus market. This time they introduced a whole new design never manufactured anywhere else. The main drawbacks are the interior and exterior with same old fashioned dashboard, front and rare. The only Japanese thing it has is engine which is pretty powerful, unfortunately only engine is not enough for success. I will rate it 3/10.
