Low pressure CNG or petrol

now a days, low pressure CNG is found on stations. so is it better to fill cylinder with low pressure CNG like 170 bar or better to switch to petrol.
As low pressure gas like 160 or 170 bar does not last long.

what is the minimum recommended CNG pressure at station to fill cylinder

If I am not wrong then Low Pressure means just less gass...

e.g. If on 220 pressure it fills 10KG of gass then on 200 Pressure may be it will 9 KG ... thats it I guess...

Low gas pressure only means that the amount of gas filled will be less.
I think ideal pressure should be 200psi.

Its just the quantity of gas, not quality.
Low pressure means less gas.
In Pakistan, the recommended pressure is 200 bars.

My station normal pressure ranges between 220 to 240, sometimes it touches 250

is it dangerous?

^^ Yes 250psi is dangerous and this much pressure is not authorized by HDIP.

P.S: However when u go to have a test of ur car cylinder the HDIP guys test it at 450-500psi.

yup,200 bars is recommended pressure,above tht is dangerous..
n less pressure means less gas will enter in ur cylinder,so obviously low mileage but ull have to pay less too..

If u fill gas from station where screen is used for display, then u will notice thaht there will be temerature point where temerature of chiller is shown and pressure point where pressure will be shown and besides this you will notice three dots with three pressure indication i.e low , medium , high.

Intially ur gas is filled with medium pressure @ 210 Psi and when ur cylinder is near to full then pressure is high @ 230 Psi is sent to the cylinder.

Thats Y I report at this station as cng from this station gives me pick just like petrol if not more then petrol as I can c on thr digital display during filling the pressure fluctuating betweeen 230, 240 or 250 even

it also depends where you get ur gas from
i got gas from a reputed pump it was only 160psi but felt no major difference apart from the fact that my cylinder was cheaper to fill and lasted a shorter period of time.

Another Concept are also wave there, In winter during tunning when u loose Drain nut a lot of amount Oil come from then draining point as compare to Summer season. In Winter Oil are as well fill up in CNG cylinder due to low pressure.

Sir, Kindly correct the theory... Pick and economy is nothing to do with low or high pressure of gas... you might have gotten a poor quality gas from station (like wet and oily gas) that made you to suffer with poor pick and low economy...pressure only increase the amount of gas filled, it has no impact on quality of gas

I don't think oil amount depends on weather. These are outdated filters at CNG stations responsible for oil injection.

If a CNG station fills gas with pressure higher than 220 PSI, just call manager of CNG station and tell him that you are calling OGRA Complaint Centre right now for high pressure than recommended, then look at his behavior and share it here

i get my cng for 300 rupee

if the pressure is low, it gonna get me around lets say 150 rupees

the millage per kg of gas is more or less the same
