Which one would you guys rather have? The Esprit is more exotic and likely to spend more time at the shop. The NSX looks cool and is very reliable.

I love em both equally, but i'd for sure go for the honda/acura. Lotus has reliability issues.

Yeah, that Renault tranny loves to blow up. I think the Esprit looks much better though.

no doubt the esprit looks better (and has a more sporty interior as well). A friend had a sport 350 in london (which i loved) but he trashed it. chassis build number was #9 of the limited number which were produced, he bought it from some guy who used to work at lotus (i think it was one of the regional managers or something)

The Sport 350 was probably the best Esprit, its a real shame about the reliability. Its amazing how well the Esprit can soak up bumps but feel so poised in the turns.

no doubt, before the 350 he had a yellow V8 SE and that was what i call an everyday supercar. but i'd rather have had a 911 if it was my own money.

nsx is too weird from rear compared to esprit.

NSX is still V6 ...damn..wat the hell Acura is doing they have kept the same model since 2004!!..no change at all...its sad!

What year was the NSX? They had crappy torque figures early on and I think that was changed in 1994 or 97, can't remember right now.

I believe initially they were 3.0 L and latter became 3.2 L. Not 100% sure as this is coming from memory 10 years ago! Anyone have more details. I'd still like to get my hands on one (been trying for the last 6 years but shadi ruined that type of fun) LOL

The NSX pictured was one of the early cars with the 3.0 engine. You can spot the old cars from their wheels and the black roof.

It's a legend everyone knows about..... iTs track worthiness is also what I love the Most! Simply Awesome !!

Above all, its all Aluminum Alloy Body makes iT Comletely Rust Proof!! and thats what matters if you want to keep iT for long !

NSX hands down!!

Does anyone watch 5th Gear, it’s a motoring programme on in the UK (Top Gears Rival) last series they had to choose a car to do 200mph, they chose the Lotus Esprit well it gave them a bit of a headache and blew up more times than I can count, In the end an old guy in a Ford Sierra Cosworth cracked the 200mph wearing a cardigan.

the new generation nsx (i think later next year) is coming to town guys....and word is in the air that its gonna be a V10. that sounds sweet......

I Like both the shapes both of them are evergreen and never look outdated no matter how old they are but I would definitly go for the NSX basing my decision on being lucky enough to drive both of them at different times of their model life. The NSX has the same accelarating push in all the gears and especially the engine noise right behind your ears is just sweet melody

I agree with you on the driving part. I drove an 02 NSX a few years ago and it was just sublime. The engine is extremely smooth and the sound is amazing. I've driven an older Esprit and it wasn't even close. I'd have to drive a late model Esprit and see how it compares.
