Hello everyone,
I have lost my only key of civic 2009 model with immobilizer. Please guide me the procedure of making a new key and also can i get the lock changed or immobilizer changed because I don’t know where is the key i lost so getting made a duplicate key will be risky as my car is parked outside most of the time. Can anyone tell me a good key maker for this purpose and what should be the average cost? I live in model town area lahore.

Your best bet is Honda dealer IMHO. Barrel is not the only problem here, the immobilizer control module next to barrel read the immo chip from the key and send it to the BCM (Body Control Module), which then communicates with ECM.
A good locksmith with access to bi-directional scanner and ability to read and configure BCM without a spare key or a Honda dealer may be able to do it for you..

  1. If you have a spare key then get the lost key deleted from the ECU of the car from any Honda or other suitable workshop. (so that your car is secure and the person finding the key cannot use your car).
  2. If you get a new key from Honda then it ll cost you a lot. 35k or even more. so look for any other vendor in the market (search facebook for that matter). Keys of vezel or any other imported honda of corresponding years can be programmed with your car, i believe.

Hey, man! I am so sorry for you. All will be alright. I know how you feel right now. I was in the same situation, and I lost my keys. I lost them while shopping. I couldn't find them anywhere. I was so disappointed. I couldn't get in the car. I left my car in the parking lot for a few days until I found a solution. I was perturbed. I was hoping it would be okay. I was asking for the help of many people. Several recommended I turn to the locksmiths from a company. I listened to them and asked for the help of this company. I am delighted with their work, and they solved my problem quite quickly. You could also change your lock with them. I recommend!
