Asalam u Alaikum.Few months back i bought a 3 door, 1988 Toyota Land Cruiser II. it was running great initially but now it does not accelerate to more then 80 km/hr...Running the 2LT engine... got the injection nozzles cleaned but still it feels under powered. my mechanic told me that the turbo is not working properly and that i need to change the turbo.. it is my first off roader and i have a very minimal knowledge of diesel engines. Please direct me to a reliable mechanic in Lahore.

Boss, my experice with Mr. Usama has been excellent. I think he is one of the few people how understands the issue and then resolves it.He fixed my fueling issue, got a good diesel pump and injectors, wiring issue of ecu and made the ride lovely. I have a 1kz on landcruiser 2.and there was a 2LTE being rebuilt there as well and it turned out sexy. I would highly recommend him. Plus he is a gentleman
This is what the mechanics say when they don't know what's wrong with a diesel.First it's the turbo then then pump. Get the turbo pressure checked first, if the pressure is built late then it's not the turbo it's the fueling. Since the engine is not getting the power as quickly as it's supposed it, it may has to do with the compression. You may visit Usama in tipu block garden Town. Someone has giving his contact.
