Liqui Moly grey coloured lubricant

I have started using liqui Moly semi synthetic oil (German made) in my Kia. surprisingly it is grey in colour and even new oil looks like used for 10000Kms Grey oil for my Grey car
its 345 Rs. per liter and it is available at Concept Motors (authorised service provider for Chevrolet) who are distributing it in Pakistan for last 7 years. its in I-10 street 9 in front of Land Rover service shop.
recommended mileage is 10000 kms. It is available in 5 liter packing but they charge u for the actual oil poured in the car.

Though it is your personal choice. But your economics
is hard to understand. lol.

Your are giving your ride expensive and state of the
art lubricant, installed an expensive modern battery,
and probably some lambda thing?

No doubt you are looking for better performance and
better ried. Doesn't CNG neutralise these expensive
stuff?

Pretty Expensive oil. Any difference in the ride.Is it better than using ZiC A+ for 2K or Moly for 5K.

Zic A+ is 5W-30 and hence not recommended for summers in Pakistan. BTW it works realy well up to 5000 Kms, i used to get it out yellow even after 5K

sir jee, my car is factory fitted CNG so i havent spent anything extra to get CNG, my economics is simple, but Shauq ke saamne koi economics nahin aati
just feeding the best to my ride considering my pocket of course what i am looking for is a fuly dependable car, fighting fit at all times, and ensuring maximum life, as i cannot sell it for another 7 8 years LOL

This oil is 10W-40 semi synthetic for 345 per liter.
5W-40 fully synthetic is Rs. 610 per liter.
Whereas Mobil 1 is for Rs. 850 Rs. per liter.

So i have chosen a moderate one
difference in ride is not very much noticeable as i was using semi synthetic oil already (ZIC A) but engine sound is definately healthy and the exhaust still throws some drops of water even in this hot temperature outside, i dont know how condensation is taking place in this weather.

yar saqib bhai...sum1 a few days back suggested..that mobil 1 is not recommended....what do u suggest.....aur haan .....aap ko kaisay pata chala Liqui Moly kaa??.....sum 1 used it before??

i knew about liqui moly for some time, some god friends are using it aolready for like 4 5 years and their rides are plain awesome, so its all tried and tested
mobil-1 or any other synthetic oil is not recommended for old engines. coz they have detergent capabilities which removes some helping deposits as well

Don't know about the oil but I have used Liqui Moly Fuel system cleaner. You're supposed to use it after every 30,000 kms. It frees up deposits in the fuel system, injectors and valves. Highly recommended and results in a noticeable increase in acceleration.

jee janab i got it....but what abt the sulphur deposits....my cousin is in caltex saudia...so he said that caltex oils r very good at minimizing the sulphur deposits both in oils and in petrol (techron)...he said he never heard of ZIC before....said these r reprocessed oils....normally made in dubai...wth very good packaging......otherwise not recommended.......haan liqui moly is a reputed company.....

have you tried the Liqui Moly motor clean. It frees up deposits in the engine oil circulatory system. You are supposed to use it before an oil change. I want to try that one and see if it gives my car a bit more acceleration.

Dont use any engine flush if your car is over 100,000kms.

After browsing Internet, I found that almost all fully synthetic oils are 5W-40. Can I use this oil in my Spectra with 60K+ kms?

The oil mentioned in Spectra's manual is 20W-50. If I switch to lower viscosity oil, do I have to switch back to 20W-50 after some time (say after 100K or 120K kms)? The oils that I am considering at this point are Zic A, Zic A+ and Liqui Moly (not sure about semi or fully synthetic).

You say that you have also used Zic A+, and now you are using semi-synthetic. This means that one can switch from synthetic to semi-synthetic. Zic A+ and Zic A are both SL and Liqui Moly that you are using is SJ (at least this is what I found at their website). If this is true why did you downgrade the oil? You seem to be happy with the new oil, which means that there are no adverse effects. I hope there no bad effects in the future too.

Zic A+ and this liqui Moly are both Semi Synthetic and both are SL with 15W-40 viscosity

ZIC A is 5W-30 with SM rating

I have not downgraded on oil rather changed the brand only. Last time i used Zic and it had bubbles withing first 500Kms of use, it raised my doubts about its originality and i throwed it away in favour of this one beacuse its least expected that Pakistanis will try to counterfeit this brand.

You can use this oil after fluching as is shown by Whiteangel. i also switched at around 65K. Its a very good oil and the car shows the difference itself. Try it if u can afford it.

Thank you spectra. Now I will put Liqui Moly in my car. period.

Do you suggest synthetic or semi-synthetic. I know the price (as you have already mentioned for both). Just need your suggestion, after which I will decide what I should do. Please give technical suggestion and assume that I can afford both of them.

I assume that the link is not up-to-date and they have launched this oil with another set of specs.
