both have the same engine with same horse power..the difference is that landcruiser is lighter in weight than lx470, therefore better in pick n performance..on the other hand lx470 is more luxurious than landcruiser i.e. lx470 comes packed with more options n equipment e.g. an infrared beam option which helps in driving at night.

man u might have seen a converted landcruiser to LX470 which is done there in Dubai.all they do is change the head lamps, grill n emblems etc. but they might have not change the steering wheel. coz i've seen lx470 with lexus sign on the steering wheel...believe me man it happens
