I too m working on same valley. Currently gathered info abt transportation is that public tpt from Muzaffarabad is regularly available in summer season.

I have visited Leepa Valley last year. It took us about 8 hours from muzafferabad to leepa and back. Just stayed for lunch , refreshment and photograpy.
The route is you drive from muzaffarabad towards chakothi along the jhelum river. After crossing Hattian Bala ( About 1 hour drive ) , Turn left and cross the bridge to go towards Rashian ( Road Sign is there ). The road is excellent till here. From this point the road starts ascending. Though it is a metaled road till Rashian but I advise you hire a 4x4 jeep from Muzaffarabad because after rashian it is a pure 4x4 route. There is an Army checkpost at Rashian and they will keep your ID card ( Original ) which will be returned when you come back.
From Rashian there are two routes to leepa valley. I will recommend to go via DaoKhen top and return via the other route. Its like circling around all the leepa valley and you won't miss anything. But Inform it to the driver that you will be travelling this way otherwise he'll just take you to main leepa town and won't go any further.
Don't miss to go to the " Ziarat " which is a bunch of tombs of some famous saints right on the control line. The back wall of the ziarat is in Occupied Kashmir and you can't get so close to the control line anywhere else.
Its a place worth visiting and you will definately enjoy the trip.
About the hotels , Im not sure since we came back the same day. I've seen some rest houses in the main leepa town but dont know how to book them. Just walk in and ask for the room. You may find one or they will guide you to some place to stay.

Bro from Bagh you go to Lass Danna top (its 15 Km) from there you go to Toli Peer top (10 Km) and then to banjosa and Rawalakot...

This is good... for you.. you will cover a lot of areas...

i have been to rawlakot, banjosa, toli peer last year. excellent places to visit.

also planning to visit some other areas of azad kashmir this year.

beauty and greenery of azad kashmir is altogether different that rest of the northern areas. fell in love with them since i have been there.

We were not able to go to Leepa valley as the gr8 Army of our country didnot let us proceed further than the last check post near Sheran Galli. After spending nearly two and half hours for the approval, we had to return.

Spent the night at Hattian Bala and proceeded to see Zalzal lake next morning.

What is the condition now a days?

I myself calculated distance from Google Earth. so it will be 10-12 km.. don't worry... I am confirm and sure...

Lasdana is approchable from BAGH (muzaffarabd) around 15 Km
and from rawalakot it is 60Km
