Lancer Import?

Any idea that Japaneses used Mitsubishi Lancer available in Pakistan? or can be imported from japan? like we have Corolla, Accord, Premio etc...
my uncle have one, bought from Dewan Mitsubishi motors, the user manual shows a number of options that are not present in the models available in Pakistan.

why do you want to import mitsubishi lancer, when the same car is available in pakistan???

Pakistani lancer sold by dewan group is same as the one sold in japan... Then why do you want to import it??

The lancer that we get here is Made in Japan but what most people dont know is that Lancer here has specifications set by by Dewan.

Dewan intimates the specifications to Mitsubishi Japan. This is done to keep the price competitive.

For example they may ask to remove some safety features like airbags, abs ebd. Among many they may lower the specifications of interior and exterior.

Its not only dewan, most importers of New cars lower down the specs to make the price competitive. Also this phenomenon may only be present in car categories where price is a major factor in sales.

I dont think so that price plays a major factor in buying decision when it comes to cars like Camry, Accord, Prado, BMWs etc. Consequently they may have the full specifications.

The brochures i've seen regarding the lancers we have here show the safety measures i.e. Air bags and Abs as "optional". These cars are almost the same as the brochures show them to be.. (the brochures don't seem local) I think these cars were built primarily for singapore. Don't remember where i got that info from.

The corolla we have in Pakistan have standard AC while the one imported from japan (3 year old model) have climate control. what i want to say is that the options available in Lancer imported by Dewan does not have all the specs available in Lancer made for Japaneses market. The GLX (full option version) dose not have ABS brakes which are standard in even Japaneses Diahatsu Coure called as Mira.
Lancers brochure that i've seen have options like Electric Headlight angle control.
These are the reasons i am looking for an imported version.
