Killing big rats with air pistol

AoA all,
There is rat infestation in my area. For that, I needed some shooting solution, as rat-kills and traps aren't working.
I purchased Snow Peak Air pistol (SPA-S3) from scopes and barrels.com. with daisey pellets.
Quality of the gun is just ok.
But its not penetrating the rats body, even at 1' distance from the rat 🤣.
Somebody told me its because the pellets are lead based so they are not hard to penetrate the body, so I need to use steel or alloy pellets.
Is that true, or I need a bigger better gun to do the massacre?

(BTW i have killed some big ones with Gammo 1000 air rifle with just Irani cheap pellets)

are you sure nothing else is working, i am sure there are designated service providers for such activities as well.. or perhaps stronger poison or something , no ?

My house is like a jungle, and the infestation is in the whole town. Service providers can't help.
I have tried every possible poison, glue traps, metal traps, etc.
Glue traps only catch their babies, or small mice, but no big mamas.
The only way is to use a stick or airgun

User the type of gun as in picture, it makes a loud bang but there are many pallets in the shot, that will kill the rodent.

Sèems there is problem with pistol. Not producing pressure. Get it checked

Does the aurguns dealers check it? Or is there any DIY for it?

Get it load. Join ur feet wearing slippers. Fire keeping berral between feet. Examine if pellets deshaped well. If not pressure is low. Use irani jet pellets. Fir on floor Or brik etc

U can blow air from berral end make sure pistol is nof loaded.if u feel leakage of air. Change seal

Fire on the ground from how much distance?

Covering with rubber slipr etc. 2/ 3 inch. Make sure pellet not escape. Trap btw feet.

Why don't I trap the bullet in something else like a pipe etc, why do I need to use my feet? 🤣

u can,use pipe etc but it is easy and ready trap for pellet bcz i always used it usin powerful airguns:grinning:

dude my diana airgun shoots through wooden boxes and takes out wall cement at 70 foot with lead .22 pellets. your gun is not strong enough.
