My father actually converted two Khybers to an automatic transmission, they drove fine but I never tested them at a higher speed, I don't know where the A/T trannies were sourced from because as far as I know Khyber was never launched with A/T in Pakistan. Since the car was never originally launched with A/T, when my father tried to sell his both hatchbacks, people lowballed the given price, one is still unsold and is probably parked somewhere.
My point is, installing an A/T is no big deal in a car as long as you are aware of which donor car it is sourced from, however, the resale value will hit rock bottom.
Daihatsu Cuore actually exists with A/T, you can just go for that. It would be 4-7 lakhs at most. Don't forget inspection before buying.
