kia rio is not in the same class as civic, optra etc. It's one class below, so it competes more with corolla 1.3, chevy aveo, honda city, and lancer 1.3. kia's civic/optra/corolla competitor is the accent (spectra).
it should be compared on that basis, given its dimensions and engine displacement. for the money, it seems slightly expensive given local prices of cars that are one size bigger and better equipped, e.g. lancer and optra. otherwise, it seems to be a decent car.
but prize matter heres. b/c if u have 10 or 11 lacs. u will compare it with corolla and oprta etcc.
If its in 8 to 9 lacs then baleno laina city . Etc Right?

Alot better than early Kia (Rio) but still a long way to go...!

Only thing I consider about it to compare with rest to compact sedan line you mentioned before, is that, its average (good) looking compact sedan...!

No, its not a face-lift...! Its an all new model (2nd gen of Rio)...!

What ateekt has said is right. I second him. I will rate this car not above Liana. But if it is import with dual air bags, and ABS/EBD then in Pakistan it is worth 10 lacs. Because all other choices available in 10 lacs are without these features. e.g Lancer and Optra. As far build quality is concerned Kia is not bad. How I know? Because I work for them

If you wanna pay this price get an X grade corrolla Basic model for this price...
Just wait for the clearance sale like Dewan did with Lancer. Then this car might sell. I think it should be priced around 800,000 rs or lesser.
