Khewra salt Mines...need guidance?

Just need to know the best route to visit khewra salt mines while travelling from lahore to islamabad on motorway ..

Exit on lila interchange.from lila a straight road goes to khewra salt mine approx 25km long.

wat r the road conditions...wat is the time taken from lilla to khewra...and should i come back all the way to lilla to go to islmabad or i can go to kallar kahar via choa saiden shah...hows that road and wats the distance from khewra to kallar kahar ?

Roads are very gud through out kalar kahar take exit from lilla interchange and go straight towards pind dadan khan there are plenty of sign boards for assistance, Around 27 km of driving take left turn from Alberuni College that road leads you to Salt mine.

yeah dude best route is Lilla Interchange to Pind Dadan Khan and then Khewra... the road from Kaler Kaher To Choe Saidyan Shah and then Khewera is quite dangerous.... cuts r more dangerours than of Muree.... BTW i just used that route last Sunday.. but i was in bit emergency... all over ma preference is Motorway....

I also recommend you to go to mines via Lillah interchange it is safe route.. If you are expert in driving the mountain areas then choose the rout of kallarkahar and katas which is very difficult and dangerouse too.

Yes only choose the Lillah Interchange. Road is very good but don't go via mountains its very difficult.

lila say maximum 1 hr lagay ga salt range tak..........the road frm lila to salt range is like jhelum gt road
