I always wanted to have road trip to lahore from karachi, In dec 2016 my dream came true when i traveled to lahore in my car ( Cultus 04 ).
So memorable journey begins on Dec 4 2016, 4 15 am in the morning. What we have done wrong is in excitement we didn't sleep in night before the departure. So TIP no 1 is have a good sleep before leaving for a road trip.
We were 3 people on board. Me, My Father and my younger bro. Me and my father both are good drivers but my father never drove on highways. But later i came to know father is always a father 
Masha Allah he have drove the car with total control and good speed.
Tip no 2 If possible have at least 2 driver on board for a road journey.
Pakwheels was my guide during this 1350 km drive. If pakwheels wasn't there maybe i could not complete my journey easily. Google map also played a vital role for sticking on the right path.
Tip no 3 Study well before leaving on a road trip and read all the Pakwheels guru's topic for road trip it will make your journey very easily and tension free about the situations you will be facing on highways. Get your car mobile charger it will be very helpful for recharging your gadgets. You will surely need it during your journey.
So around 4 15 i departed from my home near airport and reached around 4 35 am at karachi toll plaza. Karachi to hyderabad took around 4 hours because of m9 construction because of small car i decided to travel from the bumpy road and diversion very slowly. But almost at 8 am i was at hyderabad bypass where i refilled my cng. I was really impressed with roads condition from hyderabad to ubaro. After refill from Hyderabad i stopped at moro 173 km at 11:10am from hyderabad and had lunch there. You can have good options there for lunch or breakfast.
Moro to Ranipur we traveled around 93 km on 13:25 pm stopped for cng refill and some rest for a car on ranipur bypass.
Ranipur to Pano Aqil distance is 95 km we covered this distance in 1 hour 35 mins. Our next stop was sadiqabad so reached at sadiqabad bypass at 5:50 pm. Almost 132 km covered in nearly 3 hours.
From Sadiqabad to ahmad pur sharqia( Near Bahawalpur ), I was really tired by that time so we decided to have a night stay in Ahmad pur sharqia( Near Bahawalpur ). Traveled around 156 km in 3 hours 30 mins and reached at hotel around 9:30 pm.
Next Morning we started our journey around 6 30 am best time to start your journey in punjab. Our next stop was Khanewal for breakfast. we picked the route suggested by all the gurus from Pakwheels which was multan bypass to new m4 multan-khanewal motorway. It added around 50 plus km but the roads are like you are not driving but flying. so we covered this another 200 km in 3 hours and reached at khanewal around 10:00 am and had breakfast in a very good restaurant & Cng refill.
Punjab's road condition is excellent. So our next stop was near Okara 166 km at 3 hour 40 mins away from Khanewal. We rested there for sometime. After some rest we were back on track straight to Lahore. Around 2 30 we were at home.
We took some extra hour just because my father didn't allow to me to cross 90 km/h. No matter it was highway or motorway lol. He said Better late than never 90 km/h is not a bad speed at all.
Distance covered 1350 kms.
Time taken 24 hours 40 mins. ( Night stay excluded )
Total Fuel used 3224 rs cng and 500rs 8 ltrs petrol.
( Cng best average 264 km in full cng tank. )
Tips:
Have a good sleep before leaving for a road trip.
If possible have at least 2 driver on board for a road journey
Always stick to N5. Never go for shortcuts.
Study well before leaving on a road trip and read all the Pakwheels guru's topic for road trip it will make your journey very easily and tension free about the situations you will be facing on highways. Get your car mobile charger it will be very helpful for recharging your gadgets. You will surely need it during your journey.
Maintain your car for long journey,
Oil must be changed tires condition must be good.

Always fasten seat belt.
Car document, driving licence and Aclc Notification.
If a stop needed try to stop at Hascol or Admore pumps these pumps are very well maintained and clean washrooms and most importantly masjid are there on every pump of hascol and admore.
Places to stay for a night.
Ahmad pur sharqia( Near Bahawalpur ) you can have two good hotels One is bismillah guest house and second one is Pearl resort. I suggest Pearl resort is best its a new hotel and very well maintained.
per night cost is around 2000 to 2500 rs.
Or in Bahawalpur you can have good options.
Road Conditions:
Karachi to Hyderabad ( Some patches are really in bad shape and some parts are already completed M9 )
Hyderabad to Ranipur ( Nearly excellent )
Ranipur to Sadiqabad ( Good but some bad patches in ubaro )
Sadiqabad to Ahmad pur sharqia ( excellent )
Ahmad pur sharqia to Multan bypass ( Excellent )
Multan bypass to Khanewal Motorway ( More than Excellent )
Khanewal to Lahore ( Excellent )
