I dont see anywhere in the article that it uses more fuel because it does not and if anyone says it does he is probably stupid.
In some cases it will save fuel and in some cases it wont save fuel but it will never consume more fuel.
My travel is mainly main roads in my city where there are no traffic lights other than 1-2 traffic stops in 40km distance so obviously there are no savings for me from the Eco idle technology.
If your travel is like in Islamabad where there are many traffic stops with normal intervals then obviously you will save fuel every time you stop for 1-2 minutes at each stop.
But lets say you are in rush hour traffic and your move an inch every 30 seconds then the car starts and stops and starts and stops then most probably you wont save any fuel and constant start and stop will put load on battery and alternator. So for rush/jam pack traffic it is always recommended to turn it off
