Sorry this is not fair in my view. Any scrap tire is lethal for life and people in foreign countries do not scrap it just because they have appeared a bit old. Most of these have bulges, below 1.6mm thread or any other reason. Coz life is so cheap in your country below the price of a scrap tire does not mean you start a business

Scrap tires are imported for being used in furnaces and cement plants, which the OP is referring to. They are not re-treaded or used again for vehicles. Though this is Pakistan...

TDF ( Tyre derived fuel) is used all over the world in Cement kilns and Paper mills. a cheap alternative to Furnace oil and almost equal to coal.

Many companies are working on it. just google "TDF plants in Pakistan"

Get a set of 4 brand new scrap tyre3s and get on the motorway. If you go over 100 there is a good chance you won't need my description anymore...Boy try scrap in the dictionary and all scrap tires should be allowed to import in bits rather than the O shape. I already know a sadistic pathan getting whole load of lorries smuggled from Afghanistan to tribal areas and then to whole Pakiland.
These are mostly MOT failed tires....I do not take the excuse that this is for fuel as everybody knows that how price of fuel is fixed internationally...and how it is determined...

it is well known that the main and most profitable use of used tyres is extracting oil from it.

I've never even heard of used imported scrap tyres being sold for use in cars...

almost all of the local worn out tyres also go to the oil extracting industry...

tearing it abroad probably costs alot more than it does locally, I'm sure...

I've never heard of that happening...but maybe you're right, this could infact explain all the tire blast incidents...

In US yes. Very very tight thats why its not explored due to other resources available.

No issues back in Pakiland.

I once required the rubber flooring made from small sliced pieces of tyres. noone made this in Pakistan, had to import it for a gym.

Its really good at shock absorption, and used for swimming pools, gymnasiums, sports arenas.
