I'm thinking of purchasing Mercedes E class 2014 Model. Need Help

Assalam o Alaikum Everyone. I hope that you all are well. So as the titles states that I'm considering to purchase a Mercedes E class 2014 or 2015 model. But I had some questions and it would be really helpful that you guys could help me out.

First of all what is main difference between E350, E250 and E200.

Secondly what should be the price of these models.

Thirdly, is it worth it to spend that much amount on this model or do we have any good alternative.

E200 = 1.8 producing 181 bhp and 270 NM, 0-100 in 8 sec
E250 = 1.8 producing 201 bhp and 310 NM, 0-100 in 7.4 sec
E350 = 3.5 producing 302 bhp and 370 NM, 0-100 in 6.3 seconds
An alternative would be a newer c class but i find those to be far more stiffer than an E and obviously while it may have a few newer features it will lack the quality and refinement of the e class.
Another alternative is a newer A5 but that is a Front wheel drive car which won't have the same driving experience. I think it's a perfect car without any other alternative.
One more alternative is a similar year range A6 which again is a fwd and nowhere near an e class
For the price range the 2014-16 lands you can get a brand new CLA which would be smaller and less refined however brand new.
A 5 series is however a competitive product if you wish to drive yourself and you would have to decide between the two as the 5 is better I driving dynamics but the e is better in refinement and luxury.
They're are a few trim levels that you should be aware of from lowest to highest.
1) Base (Also called sport in some markets)
2) Avant-garde
3) Exclusive
4) AMG Line
The amg line is the highest spec but the suspension is a bit on the stiffer side so i would personally reccomend the exclusive line as that is more inclined towards luxury thsn sportiness.
The pirce you could expect is 1.1-1.4 crore for the 2014/15 but you can buy a 2012 for cheaper for around 85-90 and get it facelifted

Yes all E class are rear wheel drive. Some even have AWD as an option but those are rare and personally the rwd is much better. This specific one is an Avant-garde, the elegance has no badge on thr grille and has a multi slat grille instead. It's an E250 so a 1.8 liter. One correction i must make herr is that the trim i previously called the exclusive is named "elegance" on this model instead. It's the same thing though. Elegance being the more luxury oriented trim with avantgarde having a slightly stiffer and sportier drive. To decide between the two you would have to test drive thrm and see as per your liking. The main thing that you must check is the options list because these cars can actually have a lower trim level but more in options than a standard higher trim level.
Yes these cars are hard to mantain because parts are very expensive, however if the car has been mantained with genuine parts than they are very very reliable cars but unfortunately you would be surprised how many people use "jugaars" even on these models

Great comparison and review. I am thinking of buying a 2011 mercedes e class avantgarde, do you have any idea what is the price of facelifting it to the 2015 model?

What is the approximate cost of changing the front? (I think the bumper, lights, and the bonnet needs to be changed)

And what is the approximate cost of changing the back? (Lights I think needs to be changed alone, or the bumper too?)

Autostore is selling a chinese facelift for 490k which is also an amg pack facelift to the newer model. A german genuine would most likely cost around nearly thrice. However i personally think the auto store one is overpriced as a Land cruiser's chinese facelift costs 200K. I would say best way to get a facelift would be parts from an NCP vehicle as you can legally use them on your car or if you want to go for a chinese route you would have to contact Sehgal or Optimum motorsports

Perhaps you haven't stepped out of the cities to see the reality of the U.S. it isn't as romantic as made out to be, and not everyone is roaming around with wads of cash. There are ghettos, and run-down neighborhoods, and drug and alcohol is rampant. Need to step out of this la la land that the west is perfect

I think you might have seen the ghettos in the movies. My family lives in the state so I am in a better condition to compare and comment. The ghettos in the US are much better than the filthy slums in Pakistan.

In the US, even an inter pass is able to earn a respectable and descent salary which is not the case here in Pakistan. My mother who has only done intermediate was able to get a job and successfully raised and educated my siblings when they had immigrated about a decade ago.

The job opportunities are much better in the US due to enterpreneural spirit in the US. I work for US clients and just about every tom, dick and harry wants to open a business. This is a better attitude than the spendthrift attitude of the elites here in Pakistan.

They also have a lot of charitable institutions there. My sister who has shizrophrenia gets support from charities that provide free living and food. I had told her to come back as I could support her but she insists she loves being independent there.

The fact is we Pakistanis are muslim in name only. The west seems to have adopted the values of Islam as they help each other and generally avoid senseless extravagant expenses. Most prioritize spending on travel and breaking away from the 9 to 5 life by forming their own firm. This attitude benefits the econonmy in terms of increased revenues and employment.

I dont want to attack anyone here. I just want to deliver the message across the screen that it is better to invest and keep a decent car rather than squander money on luxurious cars.

I am talking from a first hand account, not hearsay. You might have had a good experience, May Allah Azzawajal Bless you, but there are nightmares there just like there are here. Alhamdulillah I am living a great life here in Pakistan, Allah Azzawajal has blessed me and many others. There are issues in Pakistan as well, all I am saying is we shouldn't paint the u.s to be some rosy wonderland. You try and raise your kids there in today's society, it is destruction upon destruction. "The west avoid extravagant expenses"?? How do you think every other tom and harry there drives a fancy car, or lives in a detached house. It's because they've become slaves of the banks, loans upon loans, credit upon credit. Just have a look at the public school and you'll see to which extent they have "embraced Islam". Rampant alcoholism, sexual perversion and promiscuity, drugs, and all other sorts of nonsense. Saying thank you sir, thank you madam, and opening the door for each other is not the only thing in Islam. If they disbelieve in very existence of Allah Azzawajal, or at the very least do shirk, then what are these actions going to benefit them. Not to mention there are societal ills there as well as I mentioned above. You my respected Brother look to be of an older age, perhaps you have no idea whatsoever what is happening to this new generation and the destruction that is coming about, once again I am not speaking from movies or videos or even news, but rather first hand experience.

I am only praising their entrepreunal spirit in general not their ethics. They enjoy the fruits of their labour. In Pakistan, the entrepreunaral activity is lacking.

Btw, we have also people here who engage in promiscuous acts behind the walls. The only difference is that they do it openly. There are good and bad ppl everywhere. My brother who is in the states has a beard, avoids interest and even gives dawa. There is freedom of religion there.

The intent of writing my post is to encourage rich Pakistanis to think about forming a company and double their wealth rather than wasting on luxury cars. A sportage is better than the top of the line mercedes. Invest in business rather than luxury cars.

The main point that are you are trying to point out that don't spend so much on cars instead invest in business is very theoretical and lacks substance. Every person thinks differently, every individual have different goals and visions; stereotyping that the luxury car owners are wasting their money is a very naïve observation. You never know the experiences, background, exposure and life story of individuals.

I understand what you're saying but I don't agree both of the things you are saying that US is some kind of perfect place(look at the last 200 years of US how they have capitalized on slavery) and every person cruising around in luxury cars is wasting money.

Their economic system and philosophy is totally different from Pakistan. The economic norms, spending patterns, consumer behavior etc. there is so much to consider and observe while talking about this topic. There are so many dynamics.

I too have lived my fair share in Chicago's downtown right inside the loop. I was an 8 min walk away from Michigan avenue. Even my brother lives in Philadelphia's downtown.

It's all fun and roses in downtown chicago only step outside to some of the other areas like Cicero or some of the other run down areas, top 10 most dangerous and worst neighborhoods of chicago i've walked alone in all of them, and broken down houses with rust beater cars are more than common. I've been to areas where most locals don't even dare to go and it was just full of windows filled with weed plantation. Drug smells abundant in the air, houses looking like something out of a horror film.
Slums exist everywhere in the world no county is exempted from them it's just a difference of how good you can hide them.
Yes there are unquestionably more job opportunities but that's because there are more businesses because of a larger geography, the US is much much bigger.
The reason everyone has an entrepreneurial spirit which they don't in Pakistan is because it is easier to get an interest based loan then it is to order a Starbucks. Every single thing of theirs is on interest based loans. Education, get a loan, home get a loan, car get a loan.
They don't invest in cars because they have the ability to lease them out which we do not because again that is also interest based.

Pakistan also runs on interest but that is the country not the general public who avoids interest for religious reasons

Over time with sheer hardwork you will grow in just a couple of years or lets say a decade, but in Pakistan you need a a whole life time. No place is perfect, always remember, people who make tons of cash, donnot care in what neighbourhood they live, they are focused on making money, when its time, they upgrade their area or move out. Focus on the inside rather talking abt imperfections of America or Pakistan.
Lastly dont preach people, they will always do what they want. Its their life choices.
