Is there any 1 year IGCSE course in Pakistan?

I am not interested in studying Islamiat, Urdu, Pakistan Studies but these subjects are compulsory

Is there anyway to avoid these subjects ?

Give your exams privately and not via a School.

Some people have told me that home schooling is not a great idea because students usually get stuck in the examination phase and that neither the British Council or the Embassies are interested in offering private candidates the examination. And that either I will have to give up or I will have to pay a very hefty amount in bribe, That's why my I'm a bit hesitant toward this idea.

BTW, Would I still have to study the compulsory subjects in home schooling ?

Is the examination process as difficult as people say it is?

registering from Pakistan will require you to appear in those subjects. Thats' mandatory for citizen of Pakistan..

no you can not avoid these subjects.

The good news here is, you only need to do them once, in O level and only 3 technical subjects in A level.

You can register for exams as a regular candidate with one of the more popular academies. that way your documentation is same as that of a student belonging to a school, instead of private candidate

I was visiting Head Start School's website

I went to the IGCSE section and the following quote was written there

“Islamiyat, Pakistan Studies, and Urdu are not compulsory for those students applying to foreign institutions for Higher Education, nor is it a requirement for those who are foreign citizens or dual nationality holders.Pakistani residents whose families are certain they will be sending their children abroad for Higher Education are also not required to take those three subjects.“

1) About the highlighted part how are they able to do that ?

2) Is there any loophole in the system that allows them to do that ?

3) Is this even legal ?

4) Is there any school in Lahore that also features this option ?

5) Does Head Start School has a branch in Lahore ?

O and A levels are internationally accepted.

these three subjects are required for Pakistani equivalence only, while the same may not be required abroad.

yes you can take the exams that you want, there is no restriction by cie.

if you want you can take one subject, if you want , you can take fifteen....

just need to maintain that conventional combination for the sake of local equivalence.
