How to know Engine Number of JDM Car in Import document when Buying?

May please guide me how to know the engine number of a JDM Vehicle on document?.I am about to purchase a used JDM 2010 Import. Export certificate indicates chasis number but I found nothing about Engine Number in Export Certificate, Bill of Lading,Income Tax Challan Cess. The seller has not showed me ' Bill of Entry' yet so does that document contains Engine No?.

Car is 2010 Import and 2012 registered. Can one drive a car unregistered between that period and then change engine no and get it registered?.There is no history of Engine No in document till Registration.

Secondly, Why do some JDM cars have a long break in Import and registration( e.g 2-3 years)?.

Bro jdm documents do not have engine number mentioned anywhere in the documents

Wow! So one can easily change engine No without letting anybody know?.
How would I know that the engine Number is not changed since it came to Pakistan?.Its sounds suspicious.
I am purchasing a car and that car remained unregistered for two years and then got registered.One can drive a vehicle in these two years, change the engine No and then get it registered.

No engine no. is mentioned in any documents of JDM but engine type i.e 1KRFE or 1NZFE is mentioned

The long break in registration and import is because people tend to import the oldest possible car i.e 3yrs old cars as they are cheap...
people import 2012 model in 2015 because of less duty and cheaper in Japan

The engine number is mentioned on ' CUSTOMS BILL OF ENTRY ' which has complete ORIGINAL information submitted by exporter at the time of shipment. - however , there was an 'organized' system skipping entry at DRY PORTS & at Port Qasim Karachi in coordination with the Customs Appraisers only engine TYPE was tabulated into system as "engine number" not the numerics at time of data entry & clearance processing.

It was reported by the excise & taxation departments from across Pakistan and the cartel was cracked down sometime in 2011. Incase the car clearance date from any dry port or port qasim is of 2010 there is likely chance that engine number 'Numerics' are not into system. & you may have to live with the engine number as on book & physically in the car.

try & get hold of some current bill of entries sir, you will be surprised. @sharabhi @crashd whats your catch on it mate

One more thing.I have recieved a photocopy set of documents. It does not have any document stating 'Bill of Entry', however, there is document stating a document with a name of 'Goods Declaration'. Is is the same or Bill of Entry is a different document?.
I have the following Documents:
1.Export Certificate
2.Bill of Lading
3.FED Invoice
4.Passport Copy
5.Tax Payment Reciept
6.Infrastructure Cess
7.Purchase Invoice
8.Goods declaration
9.some random registration reciepts

Is there Bill of Entry missing or is it the same as Goods declaration?
