so there is a pending code of P2770 ((Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid Circuit High)).
Only know issue in the car = random pinging which comes and goes regularly.
Check engine light is NOT on.
I found this code when scanning the car for any errors.
Anybody know what this is ? and most importantly how to fix it?

checked. there was some carbon visible. but all cleaned (with contact cleaner spray) and connected back. no difference. Also, in the dash where its mentioned P, N, R , D ( in the small LCD display) it does not show "D" anymore.
It just shows P, N, R. But in DRIVE, the LCD goes blank. Could this be related?

put on scanner and check all the solenoid working...if car drives all well in D while theres just no indicator on cluster.. it could be bad connection.
thoroughly scanning car could identify it easily....
it could be a bad connection or loose connection simply causing it and throwing random code
Ive tried scanning through a local scanner guy. This was the only pending code in transmission section.
Also, the triptronic gear is not working since the "D" disappeared. Meaning, when i put it in + - gear mode , the cluster doesn't show anything even then (normally it should show gear 2,3,4) and the car drives as if its in "Drive" (no manual shifting working)
looks like theres some issue with wiring or solenoid or TCU maybe

Yes it could be related. Check the solenoid grips wires connections. Desi lingo is "lupiaan", tell electrician to check those.
What make, model, year is this vehicle?
Its TCC code I faced this issue for a whole long year you can check my thread on P0773 code both are same only difference is that of ECU. Also kindly share which transmission is in your car??? It must be U341E, you can check it on "Tikli".
