How to clean rust from fuel tank

my bike's fuel tank got a lot of rust in it. its an aftermarket cg125 tank . i m using magnetic fuel filter that helps cleaning petrol but after few weeks i need to change filter as they get clogged.any idea how to remove this rust? thanks

Vinegar can be used to clean rust from the inside of a fuel tank because it contains acetic acid. This can be accomplished by filling the fuel tank with water and then draining that. Next, plug the hole where the petcock goes, and fill the tank with the vinegar, leaving it in overnight to dissolve the rust. After pouring out the vinegar, rinse the tank with water. Next fill it with water and a small amount of baking soda to neutralize the acid. After 15 minutes, rinse the tank with water again and continue rinsing until the water you pour out of the tank is completely clear. At this point it is important to make sure the tank has no more water in it. This can be accomplished by getting as much water out as possible, adding WD-40 or rubbing alcohol to the tank, and rinsing it out with gasoline.

The best option is as far as i know filling the half tank with oil and pour in some marbels. Than shake the tank vigorously. Do it three to four times.. And after wards fill the tank with oil and leave it over night

For Minor Rusting:

1. Disassemble the fuel tank from bike completely
2. Block all the holes completely
3. Fill the fuel tank completely with oil (May be used) and leave it for a day or two
4. Drain the fuel tank and fill it with some petrol, shake it will and drain. Do it three to four times
5. Leave it for sometime to dry.

For some heavy rusting:

1. Disassemble the fuel tank from bike completely
2. Block all the holes completely
3. Find some gravel (Small size in local language "Barej Bajri")
4. Put it in fuel tank with some caustic soda and small amount of water.
5. Shake it well, indeed very well
6. Dry and wash with some petrol

For very heavy rusting

1. Disassemble the fuel tank from bike completely
2. Block all the holes completely
3. Electrolyic setup that will remove all the rust.
4. This involves using a car battery charger, filling the tank with water/baking soda mix (some use a salt mix). This will remove any hidden rust

shadow brother don t panic.tanki otaro ,us ma petroldalo thora sa ya hu sakay to matti ka tail dal k bike ki timing chain daal k khub hilao . shake it well, timing chain na milay to koi bolts waghera daal do jo rusty particles ko otar len , after that drain this petrol . agar zarort hu to do it again. hope it helps.

How to Remove Rust from Fuel Tank
The easiest and quickest way to do it and to take your tank apart from the bike:
1. Fill it with gravel and diesel and shake it vigorously.
2. Rinse with soapy water thoroughly until the water runs clean.
3. Then rinse it with petrol, the tank will be rust free.

How to keep it away
The common reason why fuel tank gets rusted is because of low or no fuel level in the tank for sometime. Even after you remove the rust......the tank can get rusted very easily if it is exposed to air. The big problem is not removing rust......but keeping it away. A cheaper way to do it is to keep the fuel level high in the tank at all times. If that's not an option then its better you get your tank coated with epoxy paint.

Slam.
Maene 2 bar city ka fuel tank clean krwaya lekin phir rust a jati.
Mechanic tank mn bolts wgera dal k petrol add krta to phir shake krta. Bad mn service station se tank wash krwata. Mere khyal mn tank pura dry nhi jota moisture reh jata.
Koi aur tareeqa ho to btaen please.
Jitni b videos dekhi hn acid vinegar petrol etc se cleaning k bad pani se wash kr k dry krte hn..
Koi aur tareeqa bhi ha?
