How to Clean Car Underbody?

Hi Guys,

i got my car serviced and spent a lot of time getting it cleaned from a shop.

i believe i will get the result i want if i do it myself.

please suggest which products to use.

i get my cars cleaned with this process:
1. hose the underbody properly. making sure there is no loose dirt remains.
2. spray car with petrol, water and surf mixture.
3. clean car underbody with brush and surf in a cloth.
4. hose the underbody to remove dirt.
5. strictly tell the guy washing NOT to spray oil.

as per my experience petrol leaves a white residue. so im a little hesitant to use it.
i believe "mitti ka tail" will leave an oily surface that catches dirt.
i believe spray of oil before or afterwards "manjai" attracts and catches dirt n sticks it to the body.

i was thinking to clean the car with surf in a cloth ONLY but what do u say? Any help?

let me know what would be a cheap n best way. i am willing to spend 1000 for materials per car.

btw i am in lahore.

Dekho firstly, a these petrol and kerosine sprays are just pointless. All cars are made with body wax coating on the underside which prevents the metal from corrosion. The kersosine,petrol,oil,etc all eat up the body wax and rubber parts like hoses and wiring!

I would suggest you to buy one litre of turtle presoak and dilute it in a 1:5 ratio. Spray the presoak on the undercarriage and wheel wells and wait for five minutes. Hose off with alot of pressure. Done. Nothing more to it.

As per my observation alteast Atleast once in a month get the underbody wash properly from service satiation. It's will not catch rush easily.

what i want is jack up the car. put it on bricks. Remove the wheels and then work on cleaning.

Above stated procedure is 100% recommended. Use the presoak, it is for the same purpose you want to use pluse u can also use presoak for engine bay cleaning. As said dont use this petrol, kerosene and surf.

Presoak 100 ml + 1 Liter Water mixture will be enough for one time cleaning. Do agitate dirt and oil builtups with some light brushes before hosing down.

Saca plus, montgomary road.
Rs 1100-1200 per liter (dont remember exactly) but worth it. you will be amazed to see the results.

can you suggest keh jo yahan mentioned hain un main sai kon sa behtar ho ga?

btw iss ko hawa kai pressure kai sath lugwaoon neechay ya khud ghur main gari bricks per rukh ker, tire utar ker, balti bana ker apply n remove keroon?

Use presoak, u will not need to jackup on bricks. Dont do hardwork. Do smart work instead.

In foreign countries presoak is used in automatic car washes. So, the stated dilution will be for whole body wash. But we are talking about undercarriage. The dilution ratio I told you was as per my personal experience. This ratio keeps it a bit harsh on dirt.

Make the mixture in a pet bottle, jack up on service station, ask the boy to pressure hose undercarriage with normal water, then use presoak mixture with pressure air then leave it for 5-10 minutes, agitate hard dirt with brush and then hose down with plain water. You are good to go.

guys the whole idea of under body wash is based on country's that use salt on the roads...there's no salt and doesn't rain that much..once a year would be good enough..

My car stands right infront of sea view for more than six hours under the sun... I use a garden insect spray wali bottle with presoak and alhamdulliah, its been six happy years. I also have a deal with a service station that i pay them 200 for per month for three undercarriage washes...

Shuja ur car is brand new i think. Its swift right? I mean if it is the same new car then u dont need to get it washed too regularly. I think quarterly presoak wash will be more then enough.

Pakistan has a sewage water problem on roads too. That is highly acidic in nature and will eat away metal in no time.
