HP can not be converted into CC.
HP can only be converted into KW (kilowatts).
depending on the different manufacturers a 1000 cc car can have widely different HP e.g. Suzuki swift 1000 cc - charade 1000 cc and charade Turbo 1000 cc etc.
HP is dependent on alot of things. and 2 exactly same cars with same engine can have different HP depending on the level of mods.
a simple things like adding straight through exhaust, and CAI can make upto 20 KW difference between the same spec cars.
Hopefully I have helped you
There is no direct relationship between horsepower and cc. A well-designed engine with the same capacity (cc) can give much better output (horsepower) than a poorly designed one. This is where automotive engineering comes into play. The race for getting maximum output from the smallest engine is on (well maybe Pak Suzuki are not in the race ).
Car mods like turbo-chargers can dramatically increase the horsepower. The Mitsubishi Evolution produced some 400 hp with a 2 litre engine !!!! Now thats pretty impressive.
Ciao.
Just to give u an Idea that Hp(Hors Power) and cc(cubic Centimeters) are different :-
"Hp" is the Measure of Power.
"cc" is Volume.
Same engine Volumed cars can have Different Hp's; can be illustrated by the Following Example :-
The Formula 1 cars have 3-litre V10z guzzling out a Massive ~1000 Hp. While the new BMW M3 3.0-litre Inline 6 can only give out 227.9734 Hp to be Accurate .
So as u see it all Depends upon the Setup u are Running. Consveration or one Time Run. You can Tune up your everyday car to go as Fast as any Track Car but would have to Sacrifice it's Life.
1000cc or 1.0L is the engine displcmnt of the car, in other words its the size of the engine.....
it doesnt mean that the car having same displacemnet wil hav the same pwr....and one can not say anything abt the hrspwr wen he says sumthing abt the displacment of the car
the difference, of course, of some of da cars might not b that huge
e.g. khyber 1.0L 55 HP
santro 1.0L 53 HP
BOTTOM line HORSE POWER CANNOT BE DERIVED FROM THE SIZE OF THE ENGINE..
the F1 is a gr8 example as stated by tauseen123
@Kiitkat
800cc Mehran is somewhere between 45-49hp not 11hp, I think the CG125 makes about 8-9hp or maybe more just so you know
@SAABi
What are you trying to say?????
the general basic many of us refer to is: 15-17 cc = 1 HP ; The full mathematical answer is complex - the power output of an engine depends on the state of tune as well as size, and the definition of horsepower must be considered, brake horsepower ( bhp ) or shaft horsepower ( shp ), and can not be covered here. Horsepower can be increased by engine tuning, more volatile fuel, supercharging or exhaust turbo boosting.
