Since my last 'For Sale' post 'mysteriously' disappeared, i'm reposting a couple of engines lying in my garage that i want to dispose off. Kindly, go through the details mentioned before jumping to the price tags and posting funny offers. Thankyou.

  1. Honda Prelude H22A Engine Package

An extra clean JDM Spec H22A with M2A4 manual tranny. Self imported from Japan by yours truly. Beware of the H22s available in the local market which are mainly automatic transmmision, de-tuned h22's taken out from honda accords and mated to some SOHC VTEC Accord tranny which bolts right up but has taller gears. This might not sound harmful but makes a big difference in acceleration as far as an engaged VTEC situation is concerned. Apart from that they generally are supplied with a chipped ecu with H22a maps or an A/T ecu which is a big no-no. And to top it off, an incomplete and partially cut wiring harness makes matters worse, in which clients complain of CELs popping up every now and then and in same cases even, with VTEC not engaging at all. This particular motor is GENUINELY mated to a 5 speed, non-LSD gearbox, and comes complete with a p13 M/T ECU as well as an un-cut complete wiring harness. Engine has not been used locally.

  1. Suzuki J18A Engine Package

JDM Spec J18A twin-cam (or DOHC if you prefer) with manual tranny also self imported straight from Japan. JDM J18s churn out 135ps at the crank with lots of low down torque. A pair was imported. One of them was transplanted in a Suzuki Swift here in Islamabad a couple of years ago and turned out to be a joyride straight from hell. A very fun motor for a lightweight Suzuki sedan or hatch. Low mileage engine and not used locally. Comes complete with manual transmission, ECU, wiring, coils, AFM, and misc. accessories.

The turbo h22's still going through some cosmetic work, if you know what i mean. The plan's still on and has actually gone bigger. 475 whp forged axles and bigger brake kits are already here. The client wants to go with a completely built block. Will probably be getting forcefed around spring time.

@machizmo
i am interested in the H22a,but the problem is im in karachi, will u be able to able to ship it to karachi if yes give me a gud price and ill buy it from u.

Aoa, Brother am interested in Suzuki J18A engine. firstly let me tell you am not into engines much so mostly terms u used were like very highfi jargon for me, simply saying i have Suzuki Sedan 1990 japan assembaled swift (shaped like margalla) it has carborator engine with 3 plugs for 1000cc , Now pls tell me the engine u selling fits in this car ? plus is it EFI ? and pls could explain the things about engine different from its stock engine in simple and easy language i would be greatfull.
wot i wanto ask is
how much CC is this engine , IS it EFI ? how much it might have ran already means mileage already done ? can it be fixed in suzuki swift sedan on geniun mounts without modifications ?
how much consumptions would be expected on petrol ?
CNG can be easily ran ?
wot kinda guarantee u offer in case of any sound / blow / malfunctioning of engine.
am interested to buy it hope u dont mind questions actually they are like from a lay man .

best regards .. hope to listen from u soon .

please give complete info abt the engine its year of manufacture , its mother car , and how many miles , and is it in running condition , and any other info if u have....

@ ahad_civic:
Anytime.

Shipping is no problem as long as you're willing to pay for it. And as far as the price is concerned, if you're a true H22 enthusiast, and i'm sure that you are, you've probably surveyed the market and will agree when i say that the asking price is very very reasonable, especially taking into consideration the accesories being offered.

Most H22s available locally cost anywhere between 90-120K, and have usually broken or misplaced sensors, distributors, and cut wiring. And i havent seen many being offered with genuine P13 M/T ECUs. Most people end up paying 10-12K more for just that particular ECU. However if you're serious about making the deal, gimme a call at 0333-5177655. The name's Aaqib and i'm sure we'll be able to work something out.
Cheers!

The J18A can easily be fitted to the Japanese Swift Sedan without much modification. It wont be, however, a direct bolt-on fit. Custom mounts will have to be fabricated, along with possible mods to the radiator. Another primary aspect to look into would be the hydraulic clutch which comes standard with the J18A transmission. This would mean that you would need to punch a hole about 2" by 2" in your firewall next to the brake booster to allow a clutch cylinder to fit. The only other difference would be with the shifter assembly, since your engine somes with shifter rods, and the J18A came with shifter cables.

Your current Swift engine is the

G10A:
- Fuel system: Carburetor
- Engine type: 3 cylinder, SOHC, 6-valve
- Displacement: 993cc
- Maximum power: 50ps @ 5100 rpm
- Maximum torque: 77nm @ 3200 rpm
- Compression ratio: 9.5
- Bore: 74mm
- Stroke: 77mm

J18A:
- Fuel system: EFI
- Engine type: 4 cylinder, DOHC, 16-valve
- Displacement: 1840cc
- Maximum power: 135ps @ 6500 rpm
- Maximum torque: 156.91nm @ 3000 rpm
- Compression ratio: 9.8
- Bore: 84mm
- Stroke: 83mm

These came in the Suzuki Cultus Crescent/Esteem/Baleno and was in production from 1996-2004 with specs varying from region to region with Japanese version being the most powerful. Mileage on the cut that i imported it from read 46K and you can tell by opening the valve cover that it is either virtually new or very well taken care of. I can guarantee that there is no sound/blow/malfunctioning coming from the engine, since it has been started on the ground by me and ran perfectly fine. I would never sell inferior quaity goods to my clients.

Petrol consumption will depend on how you drive. Will give you very good mileage if driven with a light throttle since it has handfuls of lowdown torque, and you can change to higher gears very quickly and the engine will not knock or bog down. Expect an average of about 10-14k/l in the city.

CNG is not an issue.

However, all things aside, i wouldnt recommend this engine to you. You're probably looking for a better alternative and a simple upgrade to your current model. In my opinion the G13/G15/G16 (1.3/1.5/1.6) from the Baleno would suit your application better and the conversion would be cheaper as well. The J18A swap would be more performance oriented and would require slightly more funds to swap in. If budget is not an issue and you want something unique than the J18A is definitely the better choice.

I've swapped this in Suzuki Swift (Khyber) and you're welcome to have a ride for comparison anytime you're up here in Isb.

@ fahad1534: Have mentioned most of the necessary details here. Feel free to ask if there's anything else you're wanting to know.

thanks alot thats a complete comprehensive reply to all my querries. I am ready to spend, and i think it wont cost me much to install it in the car since u are giving me the complete acessories with it.
one thing i wanted to ask is that is the Self/Generator/Compressor Ac , is with it or its a chara engine.

and pls can u give me some cell no to talk to for any further dealing.
Thanks

@ fahad1534:
That's a good question actually. There are 2 types of ECUs that come with J18s, 8A & 8B. The 8B comes from the European/American spec ECU, which is detuned, since the motor comes with a lower compression ratio and a different ignition setup. The 8A is from Japan and this particular ecu is from the donor vehicle itself. So no worries about that either.

@ aref:
I see word gets out somehow no matter how hard you try =)! Its on its way actually. The charger has been mounted and is in place for some time now and we're just waiting on the custom intercooler that is due any one of these days. Will be fun for sure when its done.

@stupiddoc:
Im glad most of the ambiguities have been cleared. Self, Generator, A/C & P/S are all supplied with the engine since they come with it. You can call me on 0333-5177655 and we can sort this out further.

Cheers!

please tell the mileage , year of manufacturing , horsepower, which car is it h22a1 or h22a , the h22 which people look for is an h22a from 98-2001 prelude sir

thanx Mate. so great.
u are so much into engines and everything, u have just interest or some special instincts..
but its really commendable the way u communicate. i would surely give u call soon it would be good to talk to you.
humble regards.

@ fahad1534:
Mileage is around 50-70k. This is what was told to me by my vendor in Japan. Unlike the J18A, i did not get this salvaged from a front cut and so cannot comment on the exact mileage or the year of manufacture. However the engine does come with guarantee, starts and runs like a DOHC VTEC should and you can tell by the color of the head components by removing the valve cover that the engine is in good form and low mileage. I did mention that it is a JDM spec motor so that'd mean its a plain and simple H22A...no numbers after that. Manual JDM H22s generate 200ps.

@ stupiddoc:
Appreciate the compliments. And call anytime!
