Hi frnds..
I have Purchase Honda Civic 1992 (1995 Shape) having
"Honda D15B SOHC VTEC" Engine.

kindly tel me how is its performance and fule consumption?
is it good for my civic or replace it with its orignal one??

post some pix dude...cant tell u abt stock but d15 wid lil lodz is a bit heavy on fuel...and its a go0d performance engine....wen kept well

my civic has a non vtec something similar,, its been running troublefree even with long oil change durations.

well originally civic 92-95 in pakistan is has a D15b SOHC non-Vtec engine....if u got a car with vtec..it probably has been thru a swap....

The D15B will run trouble free virtually forever as long as you take care of it, just like any other Honda engine.

About fuel economy, with an air intake and exhaust my D15B was as economical as our factory spec 2000 Civic.

Post pictures by the way. Is the engine an original or swapped?

Tell me one thing more...
My workshop mechanic ask me to replace the Air Intake with its orignal air filter for low consumption of fuel..
Plz help me about that, I have to replace it or not??? & it will effect the economy of the fuel??

hmm i dont think so it will make such difference as for ur engine we also have 92 civic JDM but it have D12B SOHC non-VTEC 16V

Dear i have 99-2000 civic vti oriel autometic... i also have this engine shown on the picture above... as u guys say the model # of this engine is d15b... but on my engine it is PK6V... Sooo whats the real difference between thm? r they both engines are same or some thing different by model # PK6V & D15B....?
