Honda Civic 2010 Reborn Recommended Oil

Aoa Pakwheelers,

I need your valueable Suggestions regarding Oil grades. I am using Liqui Moly super leichtlauf 10w-40 from 3 years now. Exactly 80000 kms mileage. As when on 45000 Kms i changed the oil from Honda Genuine 5w30 to Liqui Moly. 10w40. I want to ask can i change the oil grade back to 5W30 to 5w40 to pure synthetic. Is it ok for Engine now?

W.S. Yes! You can easily switch to 5w-30. There won't be any problem. I.A.

Well... Btw, why did you switch to Liqui Moly super leichtlauf 10w-40 at the first place? and why do you want to switch back now?

As per https://www.honda.com.pk/parts/index.php/products/bycategory/6 , 0w-20, 5w-30 and 10w-30 are the only recommended oil grades for Honda vehicles, by Honda Pakistan. 5w-40 or 10w-40 are not suitable / recommended oil grades.

Instead of going for 5w-40, I would suggest to go for 5w-30, API SN, Fully Synthetic engine oil from any reputed brand. And if you want best for bucks, go for Total Quartz 9000 Future series (or latest compatible available).

Thanks for your reply Bro. Actually I really hate Honda Original oil in pakistan which is manufactured by total lubricants. I shifted because at that time I really liked quality of Liqui moly. And still they are best. I just want to change oil grade not brand. As according to me now. Oil grade changes petrol average n ride experience
