Honda Civic 10th gen after 4 years. Worth buying a used one or not?

Today i will discuss about purchasing a used Honda civic 10th gen after 3 or 4 years. I personally own a 2017 1.8 civic so will also discuss about all the pros and cons of purchasing one.
In July 2016 Honda Officially launched Civic in Pakistan and the car was offered in 3 variants out of which 2 were 1,8L (oriel & I-vtec hardtop) and 1 was a 1.5L turbo charged. Price was ranging from 23.53 lacs - 29.99 lacs. but however due to some technical failures and issues turbo was discontinued and booking was also canceled even i also booked one which was then canceled & replaced by a 1.8 hardtop civic due to non availability of oriel model for 7 months.
so now i will discuss some major and common issues of the car
1: Battery issue
2: steering rack
3: engine knocking ( turbo only)
4: Ac condenser
5: transmission failure in some cars
6: Interior door handles paint ripping off
7: navigation system hanging.
8: Pathetic build quality till 2018
These are the major 7 issues faced by some owners and the battery issue is personally faced by me as i have replaced by 4th battery this year. The best way to overcome this issue is to just a get a Daewoo maintenance free battery.
Some features like
Push start
Electronic parking brake
brake hole
VSC ( Traction Control)
Econ Mode ( an actual econ mode)
are some segment first and great features.
Now taking about Purchasing a used one or not. Well purchasing a used civic with some issues can be tricky but again if everything like AC condenser Steering Rack the major issues are resolved then yes u should go for it but again if u want a car that should accelerate quick ( pick zaida ho) this civic 1.8 is sluggish whereas i wont recomend a turbo model to get. But if u can find a mechanically fit and clean turbo u should opt for it.
We can easily get a 2016 civic oriel for around 26 27 lacs due to rupee depreciation and dollar appreciation.in 2020
In 2020 Civic is being offered in 4 variants pricing from 35.69 - 45 lacs.
In short the car is worth buying in used but if anyone wants to buy a zero meter he can consider more cars which are way far better in 4.5 million price bracket.

Turbo doesn't have any issue . It was only in earlier batches and the reason was poor fuel quality. After necessary software upgrade and general fuel improvements within country there is no issue in Turbi and can be utilized with regular petrol.

I would advise that if someone finds Turbo with service history which shows periodic maintenance, this would be a very good bargain in 33-34 lacs.

Agreed with you brother but many people doesn't know how to maintain a turbocharged car and I guess this was the main issue turbo didn't preformed well.

But what about the pathetic build quality and the major issues stated above do consider those. Turbo was a massive fail but 1.8 had a lot of issues

I also own a 2017 1.8 civic that have a lot of issues mainly the battery problem. I have replaced 2 batteries in warranty whereas this time I got a Daewoo maintenance free battery hope that doesn't creates problem

I also owned a civic 1.8 oriel in 2016 when it was newly launched at price of 2.8 million and there were many issues
Like battery changed multiple times
And at last daewoo was the last and perfect choice
Steering changed after warranty as in warranty kept on servicing that and when my car was out of warranty and i paid 187500 rs to get it fixed but still hard and noisy
After that my ac compressor got its gas leaked after every second day and honda kept on filling the gas without any excuses and after alot of troubles my ac compressor was claimed in warranty and after 3 months of zalat and khuwari in hot summers of lahore going to honda once or twice a week for filling ac compressor gas Alas! It was changed
Paint of handles ripped off and got them changed in warranty claim
Gear was jerky i think that was transmission fault
But thanks to god before the transmission failed
I SOLD THAT PEICE OF SHIT AND SCRAP CAR
ITS JUST WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME

GOT RID OF THIS UNDER POWERED SHIT AND GOT A GRANDE
ITS A CLASS APART WITH MANY FEATURES AND PREMIUM BUILD WHICH CIVIC IS NOT OFFERING
AND AND ITS A TOTAL LUXURY SEDAN AND IN CURRENT PRICES I WOULD NEVER BUY THESE LOCAL CARS INSTEAD ILL GO FOR SPORTAGE FWD OR ILL get a used prado or LC or GET A MERCEDES OR BMW OLDER ONES BUT BETTER THAN THESE

But my point is about all the issues faced in 1.8 models too
Steering rack
Suspension
Ac condenser
Battery
Poor and pathetic build quality
Faded interior trims mostly ripping of paint of interior door handles
Gearbox failure (mostly after 85-90k)

Yes fuel quality is worst in pakistan and corolla also knocks on petrol from bad petrol pumps but honda is shit and peice of scrap
Iam a dissatisfied customer of honda
And i had all civics from 1995 till date even i have a rebirth still and iam very satisfied

I agree about the stability of civic is way far superior and comfort is lil bit better than Corolla (current gen). I own a 2011 corolla 1.6 and a Civic 2017 both of these are different cars in terms of the practicality so Corolla vs civic was not the initiative of this post I was only giving my opinion as an owner that is it worth buying after 4 years or not in used condition so relax and chill dude
